The extremely talented singer-songwriter is marking her major-label debut with her brand new song. “Girls of Summer” is officially here, and it is sure to be an anthem for all of us all season long.
According to Johnson, this has been a long time in the making. She shared on social media, “I’ve been working really hard for more than a year making new music and it’s been a wild ride that I’m about to invite you on once again., ” adding that the new music sounds like the energy of, “sports, sex and America.” Her debut song, “Girls of Summer” certainly fits that vibe!
Johnson’s powerhouse vocals are on full display on the new track. “Girls of Summer” is about those confident girls that do not stick around too long because they are in it for a short time, not a long time. While the song is cheeky in nature, Johnson is the perfect artist to blaze the trail for confident and sassy women in country music.
