MacKenzie Porter Releases “Drinkin’ Songs”
MacKenzie Porter released a brand new song, “Drinkin’ Songs” available on all streaming platforms now.
Canadian songstress and Big Loud Records recording artist, MacKenzie Porter is a sassy and talented newcomer on the mainstream American music scene. Her break-out hits, “About You,” “These Days,” and “Seeing Other People,” all found their way to the top of the Canadian Country charts. Now her brand new track, “Drinkin’ Songs” is slated to make a splash on the charts and with American country fans as well!
The new song is another heartbreak anthem. Porter pours her heart into heart-achingly beautiful and relatable lyrics, while the instrumentals feel nostalgic and heartfelt. She transports us to another time in life with her story-telling ways. Written by Lucas Nord and Griffen Palmer, MacKenzie Porter makes this song her own and portrays the female perspective in a broken relationship. She reminds us of that song that we all have with our other half when we were together.
“You know when you’re dating someone, and you have ‘your song,’ The one you pick together to be the theme song of your relationship…. the one where every lyric seems to be singing about your love… this is about THAT song…. after you break up,” shares Porter in a recent press release. “It’s the one that now magically seems to come on the radio every single time you get into the car just to remind you what was once yours.
