All the way back in April of 2021, Luke Combs premiered a brand new unreleased song at the Grand Ole Opry. He called the tune, “Joe.” Today, the superstar is finally releasing the heartbreakingly beautiful track for fans to listen to again and again.
Combs uses his voice to share a powerful story of a blue-collar worker and his redemption and recovery from alcoholism. A simple and quiet song, “Joe” is a top-notch storytelling number in country music. Combs’ rich voice and stellar delivery make you want to hang on to every lyric. On a broader scale, “Joe” is a story about redemption and struggle, something we can all relate to.
