Our girl and incredible country artist, Lauren Davidson is back with new music! The tautened New York/New Jersey artist is well-versed in creating songs that speak to her experiences, while still being relatable to listeners and fans everywhere. Today, Davidson releases her newest single entitled “What I Took For Granted.”
The new song marks her first song of 2023. It is also the third release of her upcoming full-length album Somewhere In Between, following both the title track and “Mean To Say.” Like the previously released tracks, the new song, “What I Took For Granted” is beautiful and poetic song about appreciating the little things and truly not taking anything in her life for granted. The new single shows Davidson’s growth and maturity as an artist and as a vocalist.
According to the songstress, “Life isn’t always easy or joyful. It has its ups and downs and highs and lows, and the uncertainty of the music industry heightens those feelings,” she shared in a recent press release, adding, ” I’ve personally experienced an enormous amount of loss this year and this song feels so intensely personal, even more so than the day it was written. Family, friends that are family, my people – near and far – this one’s for you. Thank you for accepting me for who I am – The good, the bad, and the ugly. I’m so very lucky to have you all in my life.”
