Jason Aldean Releases Surprise New Song “Try That In A Small Town”

Jason Aldean releases new song, “Try That In A Small Town,” out now, May 19th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Superstar, Jason Aldean never shies away from controversy and speaking his truth in his music. In his new song, “Try That In A Small Town,” Aldean speaks candidly about the values instilled in him from small-town living and much more.

Although the song was written by Kurt Allison, Tully Kennedy, Kelley Lovelace and Neil Thrasher, the singer clearly connected to the lyrics and the in-your-face melody. The song tackles taboo subjects, but at its core, it is a song about small town values and how it is important not to lose them.

“Try that in a small town // See how far ya make it down the road // ‘Round here, we take care of our own // You cross that line, it won’t take long // For you to find out, I recommend you don’t // Try that in a small town // Got a gun that my granddad gave me // They say one day they’re gonna round up // Well, that shit might fly in the city, good luck”

“Try That In A Small Town” marks Aldean’s first radio single off his next studio album, which he is currently in the studio working on! Check back for more updates.
