Written by Dean with prolific songwriter Jessie Jo Dillon and frequent collaborator and producer Luke Dick, “Turn On The Lights” is story-telling at its finest. The song depicts a story about a high-school football player, named Billy, who lives for the nights on the field with his team. While the song is about a very specific person, it’s actually song that anyone can relate to, filled with nostalgia and moments we all wish we could freeze in time, for just a little while. The lyrics combined with Dean’s gritty and emotion-filled tone only adds to the passionate new song.
