HARDY Drops New Single “wait in the truck” with Lainey Wilson

HARDY and Lainey Wilson have teamed up together for HARDY’s new single “wait in the truck”. While it contains a sensitive subject matter, these two singing together is the perfect combination.

Written by HARDY, Hunter Phelps, Jordan Schmidt, and Renee Blair, “wait in the truck” showcases the singer-songwriter’s incredible storytelling talent. It tells the story of a man who is lost and runs into a woman who has been beaten up by her boyfriend. The driver goes to seek justice, allegedly shooting the abuser. 

The ballad begins with an acoustic guitar that immediately makes you feel like you’re in a movie. The grim sound is intertwined throughout the whole track helping bring the story to life. 

HARDY displays his astonishing vocals on the song’s verses while Wilson shows off her talent on the chorus. When their unique voices are blended throughout, especially during the powerful bridge, vocal magic is made instantly. Throw in an addition of a gospel choir and “wait in the truck” has all the segments of a true masterpiece.
