Dalton Dover shares debut song “Giving Up On That,” out now, February 17th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.
Brand new recording artist, Dalton Dover is making his major-label debut this week. Fans fell in love with Dover on the hit show The Voice, and now the singer is beginning a whole new era of his artistry. His debut single, “Giving Up On That” is officially here.
The new song was inspired by Dover’s friend during one of the singer’s first writes in town. Written by the singer with Adam Craig and John Pierce, the track is all about never losing faith in someone you love despite the circumstances. While each verse paints the picture, Dover’s talent and vocals really explode in the chorus, adding to the beauty behind the song.
“Cause girl I’m giving up on // Drinking as much as I used to // when I had you // Giving up on // Just saying I’m gonna change // I’ve given up on passing the blame // Everything // Made you walk out on what we had // But when it comes to wanting you back // I ain’t ever giving up on that”
Dover’s debut single is one that is a must-add to your music library. “Giving Up On That” is a clever song that will make a great radio single. Definitely keep your ears open for more Dover!
