Chris Lane Drops Another New Song, “Summer Job Money”
After releasing new music just last week, Chris Lane is back with another new track, “Summer Job Money”, available now, April 30th, on all streaming platforms. Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the new song.
Last week, country singer, Chris Lane released his first new song in almost two years, “Fill Them Boots’. Now, he’s wasting no time, dropping another new track today, April 30th, titled “Summer Job Money.”
Lane shows his swagger and flirtatious side on this track, as the boy in the song ignores his father’s advice about saving money for college and instead spends it on all his new love interest. With steel guitar prevalent all over this track, “Summer Job Money,” perfectly captures the feelings of two young lovers, and how they dismiss all logic and common sense to solely focus on time well-spent with one another. This tune was penned by John Byron and Blake Pendergrass and produced by Joey Moi.
“Yeah, it’s a real good thing, I didn’t know you back then // ’cause baby, I bet that // Seventeen-me would probably blow all of this summer job money on you”
It’s a good time to be a Chris Lane fan. With live shows back in sight, we can hope Lane was saving these songs for new material to go on tour with.
