Tucker Beathard first entered the country music scene back in 2016, when he had mainstream success with his debut single, “Rock On”. Currently, the singer-songwriter decided to hone his creative freedom, as an independent artist. Beathard will be dropping his debut full-length album, Nobody’s Everything, on November 30th. The artist gave fans a preview of one of the tracks on the album, releasing a music video for his song “Leave Me Alone.”
Beathard shared with Rolling Stone his inspiration for the song and his state of mind, after relinquishing a working relationship with his former label, stating, “I was kind of in a funk, seeing people you thought had your back leave and lose faith in you, and feeling like you had this pressure. I was pushed to the emotional limit, but that song broadened my horizons as a songwriter, in terms of just melodically yelling something and tapping into a whole new thing.”
The music video features Beathard pouring his heart out, playing guitar, in an empty venue, with clips mixed in of the singer releasing his emotions as he breaks items in a small room. Both the music video and the song evoke a different type of message, as the lyrics are a plea to an ex-lover to let go of the relationship, so that he can move on and grieve the emotional turmoil. The fresh new sound is sure to resonate with country music fans. The entertainer co-wrote the song, along with the 8 other tracks, slated to be on ‘Part 1’ of the record. Check out the music video below.
The singer-songwriter dedicated his record and the release of the “Leave Me Alone” music video to his “day ones, who’ve stuck with [him],” his loyal fans, via his Twitter. Follow his journey on tuckerbeathard.com, and don’t forget to check back for our first impression review of his debut album out this Friday.

Everyone knows the feeling of finding out that one of your all-time favorite artists are going on tour and coming to a venue near you. First, you experience the overwhelming excitement and “I have to go” feeling. Then, the eventual realization that seems like everyone else also wants to go, hits you. Even if the show is sure to sell out here are some tips and tricks to score tickets to the big show.
Artist E-Newsletters – Subscribing to artist e-newsletters is a great way to find out about tour information. These e-mails usually include show information and pre-sale codes to all subscribers, not just fan club members. Other, unique and exclusive options are also generally announced via e-newsletter. Additionally, if more shows are added to a tour or tickets are added to a specific show you’ll be sure to find out first through these special e-mails.
Venue E-Newsletters – Venues send out their own newsletters and sometimes include venue specific pre-sale dates and codes; plus venues occasionally announce show dates before a whole tour schedule is announced.
Credit Card Pre-sales – Some credit cards partner with ticket sellers to offer pre-sales or exclusive packages to cardmembers before they go on sale to the general public. These offers might be announced last minute and in limited quantities, so be sure to check frequently
Be Prepared – If all else fails, be prepared on the day and time that tickets go on sale. Before the on-sale time create an account or log-in to your account on the ticket seller website, before the on-sale time. Have your credit card information ready and be on the page for the specific tour date you would like to attend, so that when tickets go on-sale all you need to do is refresh the page.
Check Back Later –Worst case, if you fail to get tickets when they go on-sale check verified ticket resellers frequently to see if anything becomes available. Tickets can usually be purchased up to the day of the show, so you might have some last minute luck!

One of the many reasons why we love country music is the camaraderie and love that all of the artists and people who work in the industry have for each other. Yes, of course, there is competition between labels, artists and songwriters to get the best song to the top of the charts but for the most part, country music is a big family. So many artists support one another on their big milestones, they use social media to shout out to new artists getting a break or when a song goes to number one. We love to see the way these artists and their teams react to each other and when something good happens for one artist, it is a celebration amongst the genre.
Most recently, one of our 2018 Artists to Watch and Swag Session AlumsJimmie Allen took over the top spot on the charts with his debut single “Best Shot” from high highly anticipated album Mercury Lane. Artists like Jake Owen, Kane Brown, Chris Young and many more used their social media platforms to inform their followers about his achievement, possibly turning on an entire group of people who were not aware of Allen’s powerful song to go ahead and take a listen. With so many artists on the rise and so many ways to hear their music, it is refreshing to see artists on different labels and different management teams take time out of their day to support such a genuine person on their big week.
Take a look below at some of the artists’ posts and the heartfelt captions they wrote…
Congratulations on your very first NUMBER ONE Song, Jimmie!

The show must go on; despite the freezing cold weather that took over New York City during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The cold winds and record-breaking low temperatures did not stop the crowds from coming out to watch the time-honored American tradition.
The annual parade features some of the biggest stars in music today and luckily for country fans, country music was well represented in this year’s lineup. Leading the trek, from the west side of Central Park to Macy’s flagship store on 34th street was none-other than the Turkey itself, making way for all the performers and balloons to follow.

The first country act to make their way down were Grammy Award winners, Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, of Sugarland. The duo was on the Ocean Spray float, performing their hit single, “Babe,” featuring vocals from singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift. Nettles and Bush performed the song effortlessly with big smiles on their faces the entire time.
Shortly after, rising country star, Carly Pearce took over the Green Giant float, performing her brand new single, “Closer To You.” She was smiling from ear to ear while dancing in place singing her fresh upbeat tune. Performing in the parade gave Pearce one more item to check off her bucket list as she shared later that day on Instagram.

Following Pearce, was country’s youngest newcomer, Tegan Marie on the Girl Scouts of the USA’s “Building A Better World” float. Celebrating girls who build a better world through STEM, Tegan Marie was chosen for the honor for embodying the G.I.R.L (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ spirit. The Warner Music Nashville recording artist performed her bright and positive single “Keep It Lit,” which was the perfect song to inspire young girls everywhere to raise their voices, have an impact, and make the most of every moment.

Next up was multi-platinum selling artist, Kane Brown, performing “Good As You,” off his sophomore album Experiment. He took over South Dakota’s Mount Rushmore’s American Pride float, showcasing his rich vocals while dancing to his uptempo tune.
The final country performer of the parade was 4-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, Martina McBride, performing on the Balsam Hill float. She was joined by the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, performing her rendition of “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year”. The beautiful tune is also featured on her latest release, It’s The Holiday Season. McBride brought the holiday spirit to the parade, surrounding herself with a talented group of kids.

Closing out the celebration was Santa Claus, making it officially the Christmas season. The freezing cold temperatures may have left the performers frozen on their floats, but that didn’t stop them from giving their all and performing for the thousands of people braving the cold with them. Once again, making the country community proud and thankful for all they do!

Here at New York Country Swag, we pride ourselves on being tastemakers, finding and championing new and up-and-coming artists and introducing our followers to the best of the best of the rising acts. Back in January of this year we named the 10 artists below in our “Artists to Watch in 2018” and we are proud to say, we know rising talent before they make it big. Someone to add to your watchlist is Jillian Jacqueline.
Back in January, Jacqueline was one of our first Swag Spotlights for the year. Having just released Side A at the end of 2017 she said that each song highlights a personal detail of her life, which has prompted fans to reach out and explain how the songs have helped them. “I like to say it was sort of like jumping off a cliff naked, releasing these songs, it was so true to life,” she laughed back in January. When she recorded the songs for Side A, she explained she had seven more songs that she recorded as well, so we were hoping she would be releasing them soon for her first full-length album!
Well the wait was over, this September as Jacqueline released Side B that consists of six songs, “Priorities”, “Tragic”, “If I Were You”, “Friends”, “Sad Girls”, and “Somebody”. The first track she dropped was “If I Were You” that is a collaboration with Keith Urban, which is already gathering over 3 million streams. On top of dropping the song, Jacqueline came out with a powerful music video that you can take a look at here. Directed by Patrick Tracy, the clip features Jacqueline looking effortlessly chic in a room of retro furniture, restlessly pacing in front of a signature lightning bolt. The added film-type filter on the video gives it that extra vibey look. Jacqueline also released a video for “Sad Girls”. Styled in a flowy sundress, the video opens with Jacqueline in a field of green grass and flowers, strumming her acoustic guitar.
If these hits were not enough to make her year fantastic, Jacqueline went on tour with some of country’s finest. Joining Thomas Rhett’s “Life Changes” tour for select dates, she got to share the stage with Midland, Brett Young, Carly Pearce, and Russell Dickerson. She also joined Jordan Davis on his White Wine and Whiskey tour and Brett Eldredge’s The Long Way tour with Devin Dawson. 2018 may be coming to a close but Jacqueline is going out with a bang. She is currently on tour with Kip Moore for his After the Sunburn tour and his 4 date Room To Spare acoustic tour for a perfect way to wrap up a stunning year. Jacqueline has built up such a following and momentum to keep her rolling into the new year. Make sure to stay on top of everything this amazing artist has going on by following her on Instagram and catch her in a town near you!

On paper, fewer things make sense together than country music and figure skating. Yet, if you look closer, the two have a lot in common. For example, boots are used in skating, and clearly a mainstay in country music. Ice is necessary for skating, just as its necessary for mixing drinks at a country show. Both love glitter, tight pants, drama, and storytelling, and on Sunday night (November 18), the two worlds collided at in the most magical way, thanks to Olympic gold medalist, Scott Hamilton.
Hamilton hosted his third annual benefit show, Scott Hamilton and Friends, to benefit the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation. According to the show announcement, “Proceeds from the concert benefit Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, dedicated to changing the future of cancer by funding advanced, innovative research that treats the cancer while sparing the patient.”
The night was hosted by Sheryl Crow, a cancer survivor herself, and featured an all-star cast that included country superstars Florida Georgia Line and newly-crowned CMA Vocal Duo of the Year, Brothers Osborne. While the artists performed, they were joined on the ice by a cast of skaters from across North America, including national, world and Olympic champions. “Man, this is a crazy weird gig,” Crow remarked early in the evening. “Can I just say that right up front?… I mean, we just need to have ice skaters every night when we play! It’s so boring just playing for people.”
Florida Georgia Line was unsurprisingly one of the highlights of the night, as Crow revealed that Tyler Hubbard was the first person she texted to play the show. His response: “Hell yeah!” The duo performed “SIMPLE,” “Meant to Be” with Crow filling in for Bebe Rexha, and “Cruise” to kick off the full-cast finale. One of the highlights of the night was a performance by US Olympic Gold Medalists (and Dancing with the Stars winner!), Meryl Davis and Charlie White, who skated during “Meant to Be.”
Joined by figure skating legend Kristi Yamaguchi and Crow, Hamilton served as the night’s emcee and hype man. “You buy a ticket to this show right?… The more people that come to these shows, the more research we can fund, the more we can partner with the V Foundation, and the quicker we can cure this thing!” Hamilton shouted jubilantly, hitting the ice between performances to talk about his foundation and the skaters. In addition to his hosting duties, while Hamilton didn’t skate a full performance, he did briefly join the Canadian cast of the Thank You Canada tour in a tribute performance to David Bowie, set to “Let’s Dance”
Brothers Osborne also electrified the crowd during their performances, rocking their way through “It Ain’t My Fault, “Shoot Me Straight,” and “21 Summer.” Highlights of the show including the death-defying stunts of Canadian pairs team, Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, who earned a standing ovation after skating to “Shoot Me Straight.” Additionally, melting the ice during “21 Summer” were 3-time Olympic gold medalists, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, who earned one of the night’s biggest responses.
Watch as Brothers Osborne perform “21 Summer” for Olympic gold medalists, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir in this video captured by a fan.
In addition to hosting and singing backup for the majority of the performances, Crow performed some of her own songs, including “My Favorite Mistake,” “Wouldn’t Want to Be Like You,” and “If It Makes You Happy.” She was joined on the ice by US Champion Ashley Wagner during “Wouldn’t Want to Be Like You,” and World Champion, Kaetlyn Osmond during “If It Makes You Happy,” making for some extremely memorable performances.
Other performers included Bart Millard of MercyMe, Steve Cropper, Eddie Floyd, Chelsea Field, and Tommy Shaw of Styx.
In addition to the great music and fantastic skating, the show was for a good cause and truly felt like a celebration of that. In the event program, Hamilton wrote, “Cancer is a disease that has found a way to touch us all…I can tell you that nothing creates hope greater than seeing the Bridgestone arena full of people locking arms in defiance of this destroyer of life.”

Big Machine Recording artist, Danielle Bradbery has debuted the official music video for her latest single “Goodbye Summer” featuring country superstar Thomas Rhett. “Goodbye Summer” is a reimagining of “Hello Summer,” a solo track featured on Bradbery’s sophomore record, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met. Penned by Rhett, Rhett Akins, Jaren Johnston, and Julian Bunetta, the song delves into the highs and lows of a summer love. Rhett’s added vocal presence on the updated duet version shifts the one-sided story to a perspective from both sides of the bittersweet tales of a summer fling. This rendition focuses more on the “goodbye” part of the song, adding emphasis to the “hello to my broken heart” lyric.
Directed by Shaun Silva, the video features Bradberry and Rhett belting it out on the sandy beaches and boardwalks of 30A in Rosemary Beach, Florida. The video also unfolds a summer romance story between a girl and boy, the girl working at a beach resort and the boy being a guest at the resort. The two seem to fall quickly in love, spending every free moment together, until September rolls around, just as the song lyrics forewarn. Before eventually parting ways, the couple embraces in one final goodbye kiss. Watch the video below.
Bradberry took to her Instagram stories this morning to relay the message that shortly after this music video was filmed, the beaches of 30A were hit by Hurricane Michael, devastating the surrounding communities. She has teamed up with the Rosemary Beach Foundation to help raise funds for the rebuilding and aiding of the surrounding areas. You can learn more and donate to those in need here.
Both country stars have a busy 2019 ahead. Rhett will be on the road for most of next year, including his ‘Very Hot Summer Tour’ next summer. For a full list of show dates along with additional information, visit https://www.thomasrhett.com. Bradbery will head out on the road with Kane Brown as a supporting act for his ‘Live Forever Tour’ this winter. For those in Nashville on Saturday night, the Listening Room Cafe was the place to be. The intimate venue featured an all-star cast of songwriting talent, sharing their songs and the stories behind them. Led by Josh Kerr, the round also included Jordan Minton, Nick Wayne, and a surprise appearance by Parker Welling.
While these names may not be familiar to you, we can guarantee that their songs are. Kerr is the most well-known of the group, having written the likes of Kelsea Ballerini’s hits “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs” and Dylan Scott’s “My Girl.” However, Minton has had cuts by Dan + Shay (“What Keeps You Up at Night” and Keith Urban (“Never Coming Down”), while Nick Wayne is poised to become one of country music’s next big superstars, having just released his own Two Sides EP.
A highlight of the night came in the form of a guest appearance by Parker Welling, who has had two huge hits with one of NYCountrySwag’s favorites, Russell Dickerson. Welling performed “Blue Tacoma” and “Yours,” eliciting some of the night’s biggest cheers.
Another highlight of the night was Minton revealing the story behind “What Keeps You Up at Night,” which appears on Dan + Shay’s latest self-titled album. The songwriter revealed that the track was originally on hold by Blake Shelton, who then decided not to record it. It was immediately snatched up by Keith Urban, but when Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney heard the song, they just had to have it, calling Urban and asking to record it. He obliged, and it became Minton’s first album cut.
Kerr also played a song that was recently cut by a mystery artist he revealed to be named “Enny Esney,” as to not jinx the song. Hopefully, everyone will get to hear this song soon. Kerr also played “Backburner,” one of his older songs, admitting that he “felt a lot of things in 2016” when the song was written.
Wayne was the true revelation of the night, his soulful voice and unique style truly lighting up the room. We fully expect big things from him, and can’t wait to see what’s in store for his future. If you haven’t heard of him yet, run (don’t walk!) to Spotify or iTunes, and take a listen to “If You Wanna” and “How Do I Get Close.” You will not be disappointed.
During the incredible round, the writers revealed that they perform together monthly, usually joined by Jordan Reynolds (Dan + Shay’s “Tequila.”) If you happen to live in Nashville or be visiting, make sure to get down to the Listening Room for a future round. It’s one not to be missed.
