Both singers felt the song’s potential almost instantly. “As soon as I wrote this song, I knew it’d be a powerful duet. It took me a while to find the perfect voice for it, but one day I came across Emily Ann on social media and I loved her sound. So I just hopped in her DMs and asked if she’d collab with me! It’s been amazing to work with her on this song,” shared Baldridge in a recent press release.

“When Drew sent me the song I knew he had something special. I was honored he wanted to include me on it. ‘Get Me Gone’ immediately makes you think of the person you love and how you don’t need anything but them to have a good time,” added Roberts.

“If it was us against the world // Well, I’d take a knee to show you what your worth // If it’s been days since I slept // I’d still love you girl, like we’re all that’s left // If I was young, well I’d take the risk // So would you hold me now, until you saw that kid // If it gets late and all is white // All I’d care is if you made it home tonight // And I’m so deep in this ocean now // Girl you’ll haunt me ’til I’m six feet in the ground // You once loved me, but I never can go back // So damn lonely, you were everything I had // But if you’re home tonight // Well I, I’ll be alright”

“I’ve had these dreams of doing exactly what I’m doing now since I was a little girl. I just knew I was going to be a songwriter, I’m going to tour the world – it’s going to happen,  and when everything happened last year,  I felt like I lost myself, and it was really scary, I felt so insecure, my confidence was gone,” shared Dasha in an honest press release. “I was in a write and I told my co-writers, I don’t even know who I am anymore, so I decided to write a song that reconnects me with little me, Anna. My name is Anna Dasha, and I miss her and I need her back.”

Although Dasha has been on top of the world, she knows what it feels like to miss her younger self and to feel insecure, something many people and her fans can surely relate to. “Oh, Anna!” is a vulnerable look into the singer-songwriter’s inner world, a true artist song.

“I left you // Hope I didn’t lose you // I wish you would come back a little // Come back at little // Run as fast as you can // I wish you would meet me in the middle // Meet me in the middle // Take me by the hand / I feel more, like a scared little kid than I ever did back then // I need you to come back a little // Come back a little // Make me that girl again // Oh, Anna!”
