Today, the singer-songwriter announces the release date for her brand new album Second Wind, while giving fans a peak at the record with her new song, “Straight For The Heart.”

Kay’s brand new album, Second Wind will drop on October 24th, marking the songstress’ first major label record since signing with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. As fans await the record, Kay is sharing a new single with fans called “Straight For The Heart.” The new track is about a relationship ending, where the woman is challenging her ex to make sure to make the end so bad that she never wants the man back. The song is innovative and honest, while featuring Kay’s signature authenticity and strength.

Back in February, Kip Moore released arguably one fo the most prolific projects of his career, Solitary Tracks. His first album with his label, the 23 song album captivating fans everywhere. Today, Moore shares a deluxe version of the project, adding three new songs to the mix, including, “American Heartbreak” and acoustic versions of the title track and “Rivers Don’t Run.”

Moore recognizes the importance of this project, including the new songs. He shared in a press release, “There’s no pattern you have to follow, and sometimes you gotta gamble on yourself. You gotta be bold enough to trust your gut, and willing to roll those dice if you believe something. I’m never going to cheat by just trying to write what I think people want to hear, or hold onto a sound that worked for me. I have to constantly stretch and go where I need to go, or it’s going to be disingenuous. I’m going to always be authentic with myself, with every record, and all I ever hope is that people find a little solace. This project is a journey in itself, so I hope it helps people navigate their own life.”

Moore is as real as they come, and while we thought the record was perfect already, the additional songs add to the story of the project. Go listen!

Written by the singer with Colton Venner, “Back On Deseret” is a nostalgic song about growing up. According to Walter, this song was unpriced by his best friend Georgia and the street they lived on. “Life can pull you in lots of different directions, but some things never change,” he shared, adding, “I wrote this one about missing old friends.. life gets busy and priorities shift but you only have a couple friends in your life where you feel just as at home in theirs as you do in yours.”
