Brothers Osborne are heading back to their roots with their fifth studio album, Watertown, out now. Named after their Maryland hometown, the 11-track project gives fans a more personal look at the experiences and stories that have shaped the duo, both personally and musically.
Throughout Watertown, the brothers explore everything from family, love, and loss to the different stages of life and the changes that come with them. The album reflects where they come from while giving them space to share more of themselves through their music. As TJ Osborne explains in a recent press release, “We’re not just getting back to where we were born and raised, but to the roots of where we started musically. A time when music wasn’t dictated by anything other than what our hearts and souls wanted to say.”
Produced by longtime collaborator Jay Joyce, Watertown also brings some new things to the Brothers Osborne catalog, including their first full-length collaborations with other artists. The project features “Born and Raised Hell” with Cody Johnson and “Tough Kid” with Stephen Wilson Jr., adding two exciting collaborations to the tracklist.
With Watertown, Brothers Osborne are leaning into their roots and the personal experiences behind their music. It’s another chapter for the duo, and one that gives fans a closer look at the stories they have to tell. Make sure you give it a listen!
