Austin Burke Releases Dreamy Track “Desert Child”

On Friday, rising country singer and songwriter Austin Burke released a new track, “Desert Child.” While it may be a song about the one who got away, it has an up-tempo beat and will have you dreaming about those summer nights.

Written by Burke, Benjy Davis, and Daniel Ross, “Desert Child” pays tribute to the Arizona native’s home state. In a recent press release, Burke shared, “It’s a song that embraces my Arizona roots. I am proud to be a country artist from the West Coast, and this song showcases that. I want to bring together all of the music that inspires me and create a new, fresh sound in Nashville.”

“And I won’t ever have another summer night\ Like the one I spent that summer\ In her blue eyes and just like that sand in her hair\ She left pieces of her everywhere\ She’ll always be my\ She said she’ll always be my desert child.”

This is Burke’s second single released since signing with Thomas Rhett’s publishing company, Home Team Publishing, last year. The first single, “Love You Most,” came out in September and this is just the beginning of what’s to come for this 2018 Artist to watch in 2020, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
