Country newcomer, Zach John King is making waves with his music, and his latest track, “Slow Down,” is officially out today! This new release marks his first song of the year and serves as the perfect introduction to the talented singer-songwriter if you haven’t yet discovered his sound.
Written by the singer with Thomas Archer, Kyle Fishman, and Michael Tyler, “Slow Down” depicts how it feels to watch someone you love move on so quickly after a break-up. The song conveys relatable emotions and heartbreak in a way that feels palpable and raw.
According to the singer in a recent press release, the song felt special. “It’s a story that I think a lot of people can relate to — that classic small-town experience where, after a breakup, there’s no escaping the memories. In a town that small, they follow you around everywhere, no matter where you go,” he shared. Adding, “I love the vibe and the beat behind this song. It’s also a chance for my fans to hear something musically different from what I’ve released in the past, with more variety and depth to my sound. Writing songs that people can connect with is one of my favorite things to do, and I think most people have been through something like this at some point.”
