Country newcomer, Zach John King is turning heads with his music. His brand new song, his first of the year is officially out today. King’s new song “Slow Down” is a perfect introduction to the singer-songwriter if you haven’t yet checked out his music.
Written by the singer with Thomas Archer, Kyle Fishman, and Michael Tyler, “Slow Down” depicts how it feels to watch someone you love move on so quickly after a break-up. The song conveys relatable emotions and heartbreak in a way that feels palpable and raw.
According to the singer in a recent press release, the song felt special. “It’s a story that I think a lot of people can relate to — that classic small-town experience where, after a breakup, there’s no escaping the memories. In a town that small, they follow you around everywhere, no matter where you go,” he shared, adding, “I love the vibe and the beat behind this song. It’s also a chance for my fans to hear something musically different from what I’ve released in the past, with more variety and depth to my sound. Writing songs that people can connect with is one of my favorite things to do, and I think most people have been through something like this at some point.”
