The 2021 GRAMMY Nominees Announced
This morning The Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards which will take place on January 31st, 2021 on CBS.
While it is obvious that the live music industry has taken a huge hit during this tumultuous year, one thing that fans have been able to count on is new music being released each and every Friday of this crazy time. Announced this morning are the nominees for the 2021 Grammy awards and the country music nominees are below.
Ingrid Andress ties Miranda Lambert and leads the pack with three nominations each, including the coveted Best New Artist, Best Country Song for “More Hearts Than Mine”, and Best Country Album Lady Like for Andress as well as Best Country Album Wildcard, Best Country Solo Performance for “Bluebird”, and Best Country Song “Bluebird”.
In a time when the country radio charts haven’t exactly reflected the amount of incredible music being created by female artists, it is surprising and exciting that all five nominees for Best Country Album are females, Ingrid Andress, Brandy Clark, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, and Little Big Town which is fronted by Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman.
Tune in on January 31st on CBS at 8 PM to see who wins and find the full list of country categories below.
