Dierks Bentley Debuts “Burning Man” Music Video Featuring Brothers Osborne

Platinum-selling country superstar, Dierks Bentley, has released the scorching official music video for his latest top 20 single “Burning Man,” featuring Grammy-nominated country duo Brothers Osborne.  Featured on Bentley’s ninth studio album, The Mountain, “Burning Man” was penned by Bobby Pinson and Luke Dick. This song depicts the idea of being a walking contradiction and the growth of the human spirit.

Partially filmed at the Salton Sea in the California desert, director and collaborator Wes Edwards combined the jagged terrain and stunning ocean views with a glimpse of the singer-songwriter’s tour life which executed the song’s essence. In a recent press release, Bentley said, “This song is a personal reflection and it was important to me that you feel that with the video.”

Though shooting this video for “Burning Man” was no walk in the park, Bentley was pleased with the way it turned out. “The Bros and I flew out to the desert in July to shoot this…several people on the crew had heat strokes, two cars got stuck in the sand and we had to have a rattlesnake wrangler with us at all times…but we got the shots!” shared Bentley in a recent press release.  “Burning Man” is up for a 2018 CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year. Additionally, the multi-platinum singer-songwriter received two other nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for The Mountain.

Bentley will wrap up his ‘Mountain High Tour’ with Brothers Osborne and LANCO this upcoming weekend in Southern California. Visit https://www.dierks.com/ for further information and follow Bentley on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for updates and future announcements.

NYCS First Impression: Dierks Bentley ‘The Mountain’

Dierks Bentley The Mountain

Reflective, emotive and moving, Dierks Bentley’s latest release, available everywhere today The Mountain is a transition for the singer-songwriter. For every song like “5-1-5-0”, “Drunk on a Plane” and “Am I The Only One” which are primed and appropriate for his drinking days and his live show, Bentley has “Riser” and “I Hold On” which show his depth and love for meaningful lyrics.  The new album showcases mostly slower songs, but powerful none the less.

The record was written and recorded in Telluride, Colorado bringing to life the beauty of nature and self-reflection, heartache, loss, and love. “Telluride just makes you want to reach for your guitar,” Bentley says in a recent press release about his experience writing in Colorado. “We’d wake up every morning, grab a coffee, take the gondola up, watch the sun come up over the mountains, and by 8:30 we were writing. We just wrote non-stop.”

The first single from the project “Woman, Amen” was released right after the new year, which Bentley explains is a tribute to his wife.  During his live show on the Mountain High Tour, during the song, black and white photos of women of all different races and ages dance across the backdrop,  ending with a beautiful photo of Cassidy, his wife.

Fans who have seen his newest live show can now appreciate the esthetic after listening to The Mountain in full. Beautiful songs that are accompanied by visions of our incredible country, our earth and all of the people who share it. Specifically “Son of the Sun”, “Stranger to Myself” and “Burning Man” which features tour mates Brothers Osborne are self-reflective, a true testament to the man that Bentley has matured into. “Nothing On But the Stars” is a seductive, breakup song while the album closes with “How I’m Going Out” which discusses leaving a legacy on this music industry.

The Mountain showcases a matured sound, features ethereal production and Bentley’s smooth vocals.  Take a listen below and grab your copy on iTunes here.

Dierks Bentley Gives Sneak Peak into New Album with Latest Single, “Woman, Amen”…

If “Woman, Amen” is any indication of what’s to come from Dierks Bentley‘s new album The Mountain, fans should look forward to heading back to Bentley’s roots. The uptempo anthem was written with Bentley’s frequent cowriters Ross Copperman and Josh Kear.  It is a passionate love song dedicated to his wife Cassidy and is deeply personal for the singer.

“I feel like it all starts at home with my wife,” he told Billboard. “She is who grounds me, she is also the one who has helped me to grow as a person over all these years, so I feel if I’m going to tell these stories (on this album) right, I need to start with her.”

The accompanying video above shows the rustic cabin where the song was recorded as well as incredible shots of forests, steep hills and wheat blowing in the wind. Bentley is not only expressing appreciation for the love and devotion from his wife but also taking the time to soak in all that mother nature and this world have to offer. The Mountain is slated for release this Spring.
