Country music needs to make room for a talented trio comprised of extraordinary siblings, Emma and Maddie Salute, and of course their good friend, Dawson Anderson. Temecula Road excels with their unmatched harmonies, fresh sound, and cool lyrics. In their newest release, out today, “Maybe Not,” fans finally get to hear more music from the trio.
The new song is their third recent release, following “Fades” and “Never Knew I Needed You.” “Maybe Not” features an enticing sound, as the girls trade-off vocals with Anderson, creating a, “he said, she said” type mentality. The back and forth of the lyrics toy with the idea that there is a chance for romance but clearly shows how guarded they feel. Unlike “Fades,” which describes heartbreak and “Never Knew I Needed You,” which is all about true love, “Maybe Not” is the middle ground between the two. The trio expresses the uncertainty of a potential new relationship in the most effortless and desirable way through their captivating lyrics and killer melody.
“Maybe hearts like ours are only good as one time stepping stones / Maybe it’s just one night / One good try / Maybe here and now that’s all we got / And maybe / You’re going to hate me / Maybe, I won’t be calling you baby / Or maybe not.”
We’re excited to see how the trio continues to evolve in the industry. We are certainly rooting for success in their careers, and of course, when they make their Opry debut at The Ryman in Nashville on November 1st. For tickets and more information head to. Fans can also catch the band at Stagecoach Festival in California this April.
“Maybe Not” is now available everywhere you buy or stream music. Take a listen below and check out more new recently released music here on our ‘New Country Music’ playlist. Be sure to give the playlist a follow for your weekly new country music fix.
