Rising Duo SixForty1 Releases Two New Melodic Singles

Sixforty1

The up and coming pop-country duo SixForty1 released not one, but two new singles titled “Show You Around” and “I Get That”. This exciting set of new music follows the band’s previous single, “Next Kiss”, which garnered almost 2 million streams.

To back up for a moment, let us introduce to you Austin Gee and Brooks Hoffman, the bandmates who make up SixForty1.The two drew inspiration from U.S. Route 641 for their name, which is a road that passes through Murray, Kentucky – the place where they met. It only made sense to call themselves something that is symbolic of how they came together.

After recording their fan-funded song, “Plane Crazy”, Gee and Hoffman stirred up excitement in Music City and were able to make the big move. Since then, the two have been recording music and opening shows for artists like Brantley Gilbert. The dynamic new singles span a wide range of emotions, from the bliss of a budding romance to the wistful acceptance of a love lost.

Starting with “Show You Around”, the band sings about the excitement of sharing one’s hometown or special place with a romantic interest. The song starts out with a slower and heartfelt tone.

“They say home is where her heart is / and I ain’t ever been so sure”

It leads into a pre-chorus that plays on the well-known quote “home is where the heart is,” to help express a deep emotional commitment to this love interest. The song then transitions to an anthemic chorus that makes you want to roll down the windows and turn up the radio.

On the next song, “I Get That”, the band sings about coming to terms with the end of a relationship while yearning for it back. The track feels nostalgic from the beginning, with soft guitar riffs and lyrics that cut deep. The references to “the try to live without you kind of lonely” and the “memory of you and me” in the chorus convey a profound sense of heartbreak that listeners can relate to.

Both singles showcase the band’s ability to connect intimately with fans through emotional lyrics and catchy hooks. We can’t wait to see what is next for this unstoppable new duo!
