On Friday morning, multi-platinum country music star Scotty McCreery kicked off the weekend with a performance on “FOX & Friends’ All-American Summer Concert Series” in the heart of New York City. McCreery played to a packed audience, performing his current single “This Is It,” from his most recent album, Seasons Change, his first release on Triple Tigers Records.

During his appearance, he also performed his hits “Five More Minutes,” “See You Tonight,” and “Feelin’ It,” in addition to two album tracks from his newest album, “Wherever You Are and “Boys from Back Home.” The latter was part of an online exclusive, which can be watched here.

Seasons Change marks McCreery’s third album, a follow-up to 2013’s See You Tonight and 2011’s Clear As Day. On his newest release, he co-wrote all of the album’s eleven songs. “I’ve lived a lot of life since my last record,” said McCreery in a statement. “I moved out on my own, I traveled across the country and the world, I got engaged, I was even robbed at gunpoint. So I really wanted this album to show who Scotty is at 24, what’s going on in my life, and I think we accomplished that. It is my most personal album yet.”

During his FOX & Friends’ appearance, McCreery also announced his Seasons Change Tour, which will kick of November 29 at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas.  The tour will hit major cities across the United States through January, ending in New York, with a stop at Long Island’s NYCB Theatre at Westbury on January 26. Jimmie Allen and Heather Morgan will also appear as special guests.

“Even though I’m always performing on the road, I really wanted to put together a specific tour surrounding Seasons Change because it is my favorite and most personal project yet,” said McCreery. “I am so excited to bring Jimmie Allen and Heather Morgan out with me. They are such talented singer/songwriters and I know the fans are going to love them.”

Scotty McCreery Makes Career Comeback With “Five More Minutes”…

Everybody loves a good comeback story and Scotty McCreery‘s is no different. Back in 2011, it seemed as though the young country singer was sitting on top of the world. He had just won American Idol, signed to UMG Nashville, and made history as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.

Fast Forward to a few years later, after releasing his sophomore album, See You Tonight, which garnered his first Top 10, and just before beginning the song writing process for his third record, McCreery was dropped from his label. With legal issues interfering, McCreery found himself unable to release new music for his fans. Despite the major upset in his career, McCreery never stopped pursuing his dream and continued to write. It was during that timeframe that he penned the song that would soon change his life, “Five More Minutes.”

After independently releasing the hit track, which pays tribute to his late grandfather, McCreery became the first country artist to have a charting single without the support of a label. Following the release, McCreery signed with Triple Tigers who hyper-focused on the song, pushing it all the way to the top spot, making “Five More Minutes” both McCreery’s personal favorite song and his first Number 1 hit.

“Five More Minutes” serves as the debut track from McCreery’s first album in five years, Seasons Change, available everywhere now. To celebrate the highly anticipated album, McCreery took to New York City for a special Album Release Show at Gramercy Theatre.

Prior to his performance, McCreery joined label reps, media, and industry professionals for a pre-show hang, showing his gratitude for the support of the new album and taking the time to individually speak to all of the guests in the room. It was during that time that McCreery was surprised with a gold record for his first number one song.

The McCreery Army was strong, showing up in droves on a cold Monday evening and singing back every word to the country star during his 90-minute set. The high-energy performance featured tracks off McCreery’s new album including the title track along with crowd favorites, “This Is It” and “In Between”. Throwing in songs from his debut and sophomore albums like, “I Love You This Big” and “Feel Good Summer Song”, McCreery had the packed crowd on their feet and bopping along song after song.

Magic took over the room when McCreery slowed things down to perform “Five More Minutes”. As he led into the chorus, fans took over the vocals, singing every word while McCreery held both hands to his chest showing true gratitude and acknowledgement to the impact this very special song has made on both him and his fans.

Paying homage to traditional country music, McCreery impressed with a medley of covers including Alan Jackson’s “Chattahochee” and John Michael Montgomery’s “Sold”, before finishing the show in an encore led by his first platinum single, “See You Tonight.”

Scotty McCreery Idol Audition

#TBT Scotty McCreery Celebrates No. 1 Song, Remember His Idol Audition?

This week Scotty McCreery celebrates his very first number one single, “Five More Minutes” but let’s take a look back at the very first time the world was introduced to his sultry deep voice. Can you believe he was only 16 years old!  Randy Jackson said right before giving McCreery his third “yes” and his chance to head to Hollywood to compete “Dude, love you, love that you are throwback country guy, singing low like that!”

McCreery went on to compete and win season 10 of the popular singing competition.

Gearing up to release his brand new album later this month, “Five More Minutes” is the lead single from his third full-length record, Seasons Change.

McCreery heads to NYC to play his album release show at The Gramercy Theatre on March 19th.  For tickets and info click here. We’ll see you at the show!
