Dickerson delivers a nostalgic and heartfelt new song with “Heard It In A Country Song.” The song is a reminder that we all have similar experiences, and that country music becomes a catalyst for sharing those experiences. Lyrics aside, the melody of the song is infectious, different, and fits Dickerson’s personality to a tee!

“You can still get the girl if you got a barbecue stain // Never leave blue eyes crying in the rain // It’s still a good night if you just settle for a grape snowcone // And dust on the bottle ain’t such a bad thing // Do the watermelon crawl, don’t drive if you drink // Yeah, I lived it, I learned it, I heard it in a country song // So if I get a little loud drinking Tennessee whiskey // Take starry nights over lights in the city // Get a little proud of this little bitty town that I call home // There’s a three chord truth on an FM station // And a neon jukebox you could probably blame it on // Yeah, I heard it in a country song”

Dickerson can truly do no wrong in our book! “Heard It In A Country Song” will make fans even more excited for the next RD project, Famous Back Home. Stay tuned!

Russell Dickerson ‘Bones The EP’ – EP Review

Russell Dickerson’s new project, Bones The EP is out now, August 30th on all streaming platforms. Take a listen and read our full review below.

Since bursting onto the scene with “Yours” in 2017, Russell Dickerson has been one of country music’s most consistent and ebullient hitmakers. Now, the Tennessee native offers up Bones The EP, a diverse musical collection that shows Dickerson at his best.

The collection features five new songs co-written by the singer-songwriter alongside heavy-hitters and fellow artists like Parker Welling, Seth Ennis, Jordan Reynolds, Ryan Hurd, and Brad Tursi.

“Bones the EP is a nostalgic collection of songs that take me back in time to some of the best times of my life,” shared the Triple Tigers recording artist. “Those nights that you don’t want to end with the people you love most. Relationships that didn’t work out and hurt at the time, but turned out for the best. I hope people hear these songs and get transported to a place with people they love.”

The EP is a follow up to 2023’s Three Months Two Streets Down EP, and is a celebration of the moments in one’s life that make it magical. “What a Life” kicks off the album on a high note, an anthemic and powerful singalong, complete with “ohhhh”s that make it truly explosive. The song is the perfect opener for the collection, as Dickerson muses over the great experiences he’s had a chance to live through. “What a roll, what a ride, what a dream,” He sings in an almost ethereal chant. “Yeah, what a life.”

“Bones” is the EP’s first single, a midtempo and almost happily haunting look at the type of love Dickerson revels in in his own relationship. “I haven’t felt this way about a song since my first single ‘Yours’.” He shares. “When my wife and I first got together I was a gamble but she bet her life on me so this song is my promise of forever to her.”

Both “Miss You So (Letters to You)” and “Those Nights These Days” find Dickerson exploring themes of the past and nostalgia. While “Those Nights” finds him looking back with fondness, longing for the simplicity of simple nights with friends, “Miss You” sees him dealing with the heartbreak of the loss of a first love. Here, he’s vulnerable and lost in the memories of one that got away, cleverly mixing lyrics from the 2003 song “Letters To You” by emo rock band Finch that he listens to on a burnt CD.

The collection ends on a high note, the sparse yet jubilant ode to shared conversations over an ice cold beer. Here, he recalls special moments with his grandfather, an old friend, and his wife, as they talk about God, girls, and the big world turning, reveling in the fact that time spent together in conversation is both rare and to be cherished.

Russell Dickerson’s Bones The EP is truly a jubilant collection of all things that make life special, memorable, and even heartbreaking. From the opening notes of “What a Life” to the closing melodies of “Cold Beer Conversation,” Dickerson lays it all bare on his new EP.

Bones The EP Track List:

  1. What A Life (Russell Dickerson, Ben Johnson, Hunter Phelps)
  2. Bones (Russell Dickerson, Chase McGill, Chris LaCorte, Parker Welling)
  3. Miss You So (Letters To You) (Russell Dickerson, Seth Ennis, Joe Fox, Alejandro Linares, Alexander James Pappas, Derek Thomas Doherty, Nathan Scot Barcalow, William Strohmeyer Jr.)

Russell Dickerson Shares New Song “Bones”

Russell Dickerson’s new song, “Bones” is out now, July 12th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand-new track below.

Russell Dickerson is truly one of the most underrated entertainers in the country music genre. He continues to crank out hit after hit, while growing his loyal fanbase exponentially. As fans eagerly wait a new project, Dickerson is finally dropping one of his most anticipated songs to date. “Bones” is officially out now.

Much like his debut hit single, “Yours,” “Bones” is a true statement of love and honor. Clearly inspiring by the singer-songwriter’s devoted wife, Kailey, the new song is a testament to their love. “Bones” speaks to the dedication of falling in love and continuing to love your person no matter what. It is a beautiful track that will most likely become a popular 2024-2025 wedding song for doting couples.

“Saying I’ll love ya, ‘ til the stars up above ya // ain’t shining in the sky no more // Long as I’m livin’, baby I ain’t quittin’ // That’s a love you can bet your life on // Yeah, I’ll love ya til I’m six feet down // in the ground // And the gold on my finger’s wrapped around // Nothin’ but bones // yea forever and ever // for worse or for better // til the good Lord calls me home // Long as I’m breathing, you’ll be all I’m needing // Baby write it in my headstone”

Russell Dickerson’s “God Gave Me A Girl” is Number One at Country Radio

Russell Dickerson earns his fifth number one song at country radio with his single, “God Gave Me A Girl.” Learn more below.

One of our day one favorite artists continues to hit milestones in his career. With four number one singles at country radio already to his name, Russell Dickerson adds his fifth number one with “God Gave Me A Girl” securing the top spot on the charts this week.

The single is a beautiful and romantic song off of his self-titled album. “God Gave Me A Girl” speaks to Dickerson’s marriage to his wife Kailey Dickerson. The twosome are one of country music’s favorite couples. Dickerson clearly shows time and time again that he knows how to craft a relatable love song, and “God Gave Me A Girl” is more proof of that.

“God gave me a girl // Girl gave me a kiss // Kiss gave me a feelin’ that I still get // Every time I look in her eyes // I don’t deserve her and I don’t know why // She gave me her hand // I gave her a ring // Then as soon as I could // I gave her my last name // Now I’m gonna give her forever // I knew what I wanted but // He knew better // God gave me a girl, mm”

Russell Dickerson: ‘Three Months Two Streets Down’ EP Review

Russell Dickerson shares brand new EP, Three Months Two Streets Down, out now, June 27th on all streaming platforms.  Listen to the new EP now.

Russell Dickerson can truly do no wrong! Every song he touches is a certified hit. In his brand new summer-ready EP, Three Months Two Streets Down, Dickerson proves his staying power with just five incredible songs.

The project kicks off with “Ride The Wave.” An absolute slow-jam, Dickerson’s vocals are on full display on this catchy tune. The track has summertime romance written all over it. Even though summer loves do not alway last, Dickerson emotes how it feels to just go with the flow, despite the impending outcome.

Next up, “Down on the Beach,” is the perfect summer-bop. Seemingly inspired by his beach days with his beautiful wife, the song has all the summer staples. This song is made to blast, while chilling on the beach with your loved ones or spending the day out on the water. Dickerson is coming for that king of summer with this jam.

Similar to the vibe of the opening track, “Steal My Summer” is a love song about a budding relationship. Dickerson is a pro at creating romantic songs that make us all believe in love. While “Steal My Summer” is still about that summer fling, it still has that same honesty and desirability as old-school RD tracks like “Yours.”

“Beauty and the Beach” feels like a fun pop-country riff off Justin Bieber’s popular song, “Beauty And A Beat,” in the best way. While clearly, all about love and summertime like the rest of the EP, “Beauty and the Beach” is the clear anthem on the project. The song would make the perfect addition to Dickerson’s live set.

Much like “Ride The Wave,” the final track, “SMR LV” bookends the project with nostalgia and love. “SMR LV,” aka summer love feels like the culmination of the love story expressed in “Ride The Wave.” While the song has a tinge of sadness for the ending of the season, it feels like the perfect conclusion for the stellar project.

Although just five songs, Three Months Two Streets Down will get you excited for more Russell Dickerson music to come! The record highlights all the things we have grown to love about RD and his undeniable talent, charm, and charisma.

Three Months Two Streets Down EP Track List:

  1. Ride The Wave
  2. Down on the Beach
  3. Steal My Summer
  4. Beauty and the Beach
  5. SMR LV
