Have a Laugh with Brothers Osborne in New Music Video

Earlier this week, CMA Vocal Duo of the Year, TJ and John Osborne of Brothers Osborne, combined their musical and comedic skills in their newly released music video for their single “Shoot Me Straight.” Check out the unique and hysterical video, directed by Wes Edwards and Ryan Silver below.

Pushing the envelope yet again, the musicians poke fun at the cliches in “Bro-Country,” music, such as scantily-clad girls in daisy dukes, as well as, jabbing at the current President’s military proposals. When asked by the press how they came up with the idea for the “Shoot Me Straight” video, the musicians shared, “This idea genuinely spawned out of us not being able to come to an agreement on what we wanted the video to be about.”

Against their will, the brothers are showcased in a series of questionable, but humorous circumstances geared towards epitomizing the music video cliches. The scenes show the singer/songwriter siblings being forced, under the influence, to act out music video ideas, suggested by the video’s directors. The brothers current tour mate, Dierks Bentley even makes a guest appearance in the video!

“Shoot Me Straight” is the first single from their sophomore album, Port Saint Joe. Brothers Osborne will continue touring with Dierks Bentley on the Mountain High Tour through October, stopping at New York City’s Iconic Madison Square Garden on September 8th. Find tickets for the NYC Show here.

The duo will move up to headlining status with their own multi-country tour, accompanied by, musicians, Lucie Silvas and The Wild Feathers. The headlining tour will get underway on August 26th in Charlottesville, Virginia. Find a full list of tour dates here.
