Kenny Chesney Pushes Chillaxification Tour to 2022

After Kenny Chesneys 2020 Chillaxification Tour was originally postponed to summer 2021, this morning the superstar announced the tour would once again be postponed to 2022 due to the ongoing worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. In a letter to his fans, Chesney hopes to be able to have all the elements of a No Shoes Nation concert.

“So here comes reality. We’re moving to 2022… Where I feel better about us all being together safely. I’d rather keep everyone safe [and] know we can rock for years to come,” Chesney shares. In most major cities, ‘Kenny Day’ has become a summer favorite as Kenny Chesney‘s stadium tour makes its way through the country all summer long. The heartbreaking news that the already postponed Chillaxification Tour is officially being rescheduled yet again to 2022 comes on the heels of a very difficult year for all.

Despite the fact that ‘Kenny Day’ will not come to stages around the country this summer, it’s safe to say that when the No Shoes Nation family returns, it’s going to be a hell of a tour!

All of the stadiums on the 2021 itinerary will still host Chesney’s 2022 tour. However, it will be a completely new show with a new name, new line-up, and plenty of new music. The details are expected to come soon including all new dates.

For fans who already have tickets, all tickets will still be honored for the new dates. For patrons unable to attend the rescheduled shows, a refund at the original point of purchase may be requested in the coming days.

Kenny Chesney Postpones 2020 Chillaxification Tour

In most major cities, ‘Kenny Day’ has become a summer favorite as superstar Kenny Chesney‘s stadium tour makes its way through the country all summer long. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all non-essential events including live concerts and festivals have fallen victim to being forced to postpone or cancel shows altogether. Most recently, this includes superstar Kenny Chesney’s 2020 Chillaxification Tour.

“With so many tours needing to move and wanting to make sure we are in the best possible circumstances for No Shoes Nation, I think – and I hate saying this – it’s best to move everything into 2021,” Chesney says in a press release. “In the best interest of everyone – No Shoes Nation, my road family, the staff at the venues – we have decided to quit moving the dates around on the calendar, trying to make a chunk of this year work and go to where we believe we can roll out the entire Chillaxification Tour.”

Original tickets are automatically valid for a rescheduled show date. If you have tickets to a postponed show, refund options will be available at the time a rescheduled show date is announced.

Kenny Chesney Surprises Fans with 2020 Tour Announcement

In most major cities, ‘Kenny Day’ has become a summer favorite as superstar Kenny Chesney’s stadium tour makes its way through the country all summer long. Despite drawing record-breaking crowds with his 2018 ‘Trip Around the Sun’ Tour, Chesney announced last year that he would be taking a break from his stadium tour to hit more intimate venues, marking summer 2019 as ‘the summer without a Kenny Day’ for New York City country fans.

As all good things come to those to wait, Chesney announced this morning via his No Shoes Radio channel on Sirius XM that fans can catch him once again at stadiums nationwide next year on the ‘CHILLAXIFICATION 2020 Tour’. Joining him will be Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead. New York fans can once again catch him at MetLife Stadium on August 22nd. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 4th.

Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt Break Records + NYCountry Swag Tailgate…

A busload of NYCountry Swag Fans Head to Luke Bryan + Sam Hunt at MetLife Stadium

A busload of NYCountry Swag Fans Head to Luke Bryan + Sam Hunt at MetLife Stadium

The humidity and sun beating down didn’t stop Luke Bryan’s fans from packing out Metlife Stadium this past Saturday.  New York Country Swag headed to the New Jersey venue by the busload, bringing 50 fans from Rockaway Beach to tailgate and get to experience the record-breaking concert “What Makes You Country” event.  The lineup included four absolute powerhouse country artists: Morgan Wallen, Jon Pardi, Sam Hunt and finally headliner, Luke Bryan.

As the fans filed in from their tailgates, Morgan Wallen performed his huge single “Up Down” and Jon Pardi sang songs off his critically acclaimed album California Sunrise including “Heartache on the Dancefloor” and “Dirt on my Boots”.

Next up, Sam Hunt took the stage opening with his latest “Downtown’s Dead” then played all of the songs from his album Montevallo. He also took time to slow things down, grabbing a guitar and playing some old school country music acoustically. He closed his hour long set with “Body Like A Backroad”, to which every single person in the audience was singing along.

Finally, as the sun set, Luke Bryan took the stage with a pyrotechnic show as well as fireworks, opening his set with “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).  Bryan entertained for nearly two hours, at one point even rolling a giant cooler onto the stage and throwing Miller Lite beers out to the crowd.  It was the largest stadium crowd he has ever played for and his energy and vocal ability thrilled New York and New Jersey fans, singing songs from all of his albums that have gotten him to where he is today, a total superstar.

As if the spectacle wasn’t enough, he closed with “Rain is a Good Thing” before coming back for a two song encore. As the final song came to a close, like magic the skies opened up and rain droplets covered the crowds as they cheered and walked to their cars or buses on a total high.
