Songwriter and recording artist Joey Hyde released his debut single “Live It Up” last week and we have it on repeat. Earlier this year, the Grand Rapids, Michigan opened up for select dates on Ryan Hurd’s Platonic Tour. In addition to Hurd, the singer + songwriter has also opened up for The Band Perry, The Cadillac Black, and Lee Brice.

Hyde shared on Instagram a sentimental picture of his best friends who were there for him during a hard time and share how happy he was to release “Live It Up”. His caption included: “I woke up this morning, my release day for another single as an independent artist. My wife is my record label and my best friends are my co-writers and band. I have no marketing team. No publicist. No radio staff. But I’m still fucking here. I’m still creating music.”

“Live It Up” exemplifies a summertime, anthemic song; something that we are all going to need perilously. Hyde inaugurates the tune with a notable scat that will become an earworm by the conclusion of the first listen. The country singer + songwriter discloses the easy things in life that provide a sense of joy. He sings: “I just wanna spend my time // Living it up all night // With people I love // this life is here and it’s gone, we only get one // So I wanna throw all my worries away, cause at the end of the day // Cause this life, is here and it’s gone // We only get one, so live it up.”

Hyde has been in the Nashville scene for a little bit now. He has penned Jake Owen’s current single, “Made For You” and Sam Hunt’s “Song About You.” Hyde’s new single is featured on Spotify’s “New Music Nashville” playlist and Apple Music’s “Soundcheck” playlist.
