Lauren Jo Black
Country music journalist Lauren Jo Black has spent nearly two decades celebrating country music and the artists who make the genre so special. Now, she is taking that passion to a brand new medium with the release of her first-ever book, Country Music Forever: An A-to-Z Celebration of Icons, Songs and Stories, officially available now in the United States and Canada.
The beautifully illustrated book features more than 100 A-to-Z entries, taking readers through the artists, songs, places, traditions, and unforgettable moments that have helped shape country music throughout the years. Black brings a unique perspective to the book, drawing from almost twenty years covering the genre and interviewing countless artists including Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, and many more.
“Country music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was 5 years old when I first fell in love with this genre, and I spent my childhood dreaming of interviewing artists and telling their stories,” shared Black in a recent press release. “To now have the opportunity to share Country Music Forever with readers feels like a full-circle moment.”
Whether you are a lifelong country music fan or someone who simply loves learning more about the stories behind the genre, Country Music Forever is a fun way to celebrate country music’s history while discovering some new stories along the way. The book is officially available now.
