Dylan Marlowe Shares New Song “Devil On My Shoulder” + Announces Debut Album

Dylan Marlowe shares a brand new single, “Devil On My Shoulder,” out now, July 26th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the new track below.

Dylan Marlowe is one of the most exciting rising singer-songwriters in country music right now. Each of his songs unapologetically speak to who he is and what he believes in, whether the song draws inspiration from his life or not. Today, Marlowe’s grows his music collection with a brand new song called, “Devil On My Shoulder,” and the announcement of his debut album, Mid Twenties Crisis, out September 27th.

Written by Marlowe with Kyle Fisherman, Beau Bailey, and Rocky Block, “Devil On My Shoulder” is a song about trying everything to get over someone, but you still cannot get them off your mind. The song is a relatable, nostalgic storytelling song that feels like a country anthem, much like many of Marlowe’s songs do.

“He started whisperin’ // I started listenin’ // Damn, he started making sense // So, I drove my truck out of gas // I drank the bar out of beer // Emptied my pocket of cash // Trying to make you disappear // I found a new pairs of blues // Thought they’d put you in the past // Everything he told me to do, girl it ain’t doing jack // God made a hell of an angel when he made you // Even the devil on my shoulder don’t know what to do”

Marlowe is one of the most promising rising stars in country music right now. “Devil On My Shoulder” is another notch in his belt! As for the debut album, Marlowe shares in a recent press release, “Mid-Twenties Crisis is a record I wrote in my mid-twenties, really over the last two or three years. There’s a bunch of songs that are going to be fun to play live. I also thought it was really important to make sure I had some deeper lyrics as well. ‘Mid-Twenties Crisis’ was actually the last song to make the record. I’m so proud of that song – it’s kind of vulnerable but I hope y’all can relate and that you love the record.”

Marlowe is the real-deal, and his debut album is going to be a great one!
