We have said it time and time again, there is nothing more special than a country music collaboration. Superstars Dustin Lynch and Jelly Roll combined their talents on a song called, “Chevrolet.” The song quickly became a fan-favorite. Today, “Chevrolet” is the number one song on the country radio charts.
“Chevrolet” is a promotional single from Lynch’s sixth studio album, Killed the Cowboy. The song, written by Chase McGill, Jessi Alexander, Hunter Phelps, and Mentor Williams was created to the tune of “Drift Away” by Dobie Gray, adding to its appeal. The song is a perfectly crafted country tune that combines some fun hip-hop elements too.
“In your Chevrolet // Lord knows I been praying for the day // A girl like her would say // Just… // Gimme a dirt road // The windows down // Wanna get lost on the edge of town // In your Chevrolet // She said gimme a six pack // Some Brooks & Dunn // If you want a country girl, you just found one // Let’s slip away // In your Chevrolet”
“Chevrolet” marks the 10th number one single for Lynch and the 5th number one single for Jelly Roll. Both artists are sure to collect more number ones throughout their blossoming careers. Congrats to both artists and their respective teams!
