The video for Cole Swindell’s latest and rising single “Love You Too Late” is here. Premiering on CMT and YouTube Music, the video is filled with plenty of action and heartbreak. Directed by Sam Siske, the video opens up with a quick time-lapse of the story about to be told and transitions into Swindell singing in the middle of a street tunnel with his band behind him. As he is singing, a white race car is shown speeding down empty roadways. Who’s the driver of the vehicle? A girl, played by actress and stunt devil Kachina Dechert, who is on a mission to get away from the singer-songwriter as fast as she can. Her mission is successful as she is seen doing circles around Swindell, before speeding off and leaving him alone in the middle of the road.
The video shares the story of the song perfectly. Written by Swindell, Michael Carter, and Brandon Kinney, “Love You Too Late” is a song about finally expressing your feelings to the person you love but unfortunately, they have already moved on because they were tired of waiting around. The song and video both get the valuable message across which is no matter how scared you are of telling your significant other how you really feel about them, you need to go for it.
Swindell has had a jam-packed summer as he is celebrating his fifth anniversary as a recording artist. From announcing and releasing two songs from his fifth Down Home Sessions EP to touring with Luke Bryan, he hasn’t stopped. And it doesn’t seem like he will be stopping anytime soon. We caught the Sunset Repeat tour at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater earlier this month. The rest of Down Home Sessions V is on its way, and before finishing the Sunset Repeat Tour, the Georgia native will be joining Bryan on the 2019 Farm Tour.
If you haven’t had a chance to see the Sunset Repeat Tour you’ll want to catch it when it comes to PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on September 7th. You can get your tickets here!
