Cole Swindell Gives Us More Music With “Down To Earth”
Country music entertainer Cole Swindell is a true artist and songwriter. He loves giving fans as much music as he possibly can, which is exactly what he has been doing! As we gear up for the fifth installment of his Down Home Sessions EP to be released, Swindell is giving us sneak peeks at some of the songs on the upcoming record. So far, the singer-songwriter has released both “Drinkin’ Hours” and “All Nighter.” Today, Swindell premiered his newest song entitled “Down To Earth.”
Swindell experiments with a new sound and vibe in the swoon-worthy love song, comparing his love interest to the stars, and expressing feelings of being high on love. He describes the type of love as unparalleled and otherworldly singing, “You must be from another planet” and exclaiming, “I ain’t ever coming back down to earth.” The singer-songwriter’s vocals shine on this song, as he sings the lyrics that everyone feels when they meet that special someone and have that special kind of love.
We’re excited to see what else the singer has up his sleeves on the upcoming EP since each song so far has showcased a different side to his charming personality.
We last caught Swindell’s live set when he opened up for Luke Bryan on his ‘Sunset Repeat’ Tour for a double feature (Saturday and Sunday) at Long Island’s Northwell Health Jones Beach Theater. Check out some of the highlights from the shows here! If you happen to miss the show, don’t worry, you can grab your tickets to the upcoming show in Holmdel, New Jersey on September 7th.

You tell me get my head out the clouds
But baby I ain’t doing it
I thought I had it all figured out
But now you got me losing it
I can’t concentrate on my work with you right there
In my shirt, it’s crazy where you’ve taken me
I ain’t never seen the stars this close
I ain’t never been up this high
Everything I used to know
I’m about to have to tell it all goodbye
You must be from another planet
Yeah I’ve been wondering where you were
Baby you took me up to heaven
And I ain’t ever coming back down to earth
Down to earth, yeah
Taking off like a rocket
Kinda wish I had a ring in my pocket right now
I take it out, get down
On one knee in the clouds
I ain’t ever seen the stars this close
I ain’t ever been up this high
Everything I used to know
I’m about to have to tell it all goodbye
You must be from another planet
Yeah I’ve been wondering where you were
Baby you took me up to heaven
And I ain’t ever coming back down to earth
Down to earth
It’s a small world
After all girl
I used to be down there praying
And now I’m up here and I’m staying, ’cause
I ain’t ever seen the stars this close
I ain’t ever been up this high
Everything I used to know
I’m about to have to tell it all goodbye
You must be from another planet
Yeah I’ve been wondering where you were
Baby you took me up to heaven
And I ain’t ever coming back down to earth
Down to earth
No I ain’t ever coming back
Down to earth
