Chris Lane Celebrates Fatherhood with New Song “Ain’t Even Met You Yet”

Chris Lane celebrates the birth of his son, Dutton, with new song, “Ain’t Even Met You Yet.” Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the new track.

Life has been pretty amazing for Chris Lane lately. Newly married to his wife, Lauren Bushnell, the two love birds have had a pretty spectacular love story. Lane proposed to his now-wife with an unreleased song that has become a hit, “Big, Big Plans.” Now, he’s letting fans into his private life once again. The singer shared a brand new song celebrating fatherhood called “Ain’t Even Met You Yet.”

Lane released the song upon the birth of his son, Dutton Walker Lane. Just in time for Father’s Day, the new track could not come at a more perfect time. As a new father, Lane expresses feelings that only a parent can understand. He shares feelings of joy, fear, and unprecedented love. Written just prior to his birth, it is clear that the singer was reflecting a lot on becoming a dad. Lane seems to have a knack for writing music that mirrors his life.

“In a couple of months // I’m gonna get to hold your hand // You’re going to make this ole boy, your old man // I feel ready, but I feel scared to death // All I know is I love you // and I ain’t even met you yet”

The music video gives fans an even bigger peek into the life of the Lane’s. We catch a glimpse of Dutton’s nursery and even get to see the newborn baby arrive home for the first time. If we know anything, we bet this song, which will officially be released to all streaming platforms on Friday, June 25th, will blow up soon! Until then, congrats to Chris and Lauren on their beautiful baby boy!

In addition to the new music, Lane also announced plans for a tour kicking off this Fall. Get all the dates and details here.
