Dan + Shay Announce New Record and Release New Song “Good Things”

Dan + Shay announce new record and release new song “Good Things,” available now, July 15th on all streaming platforms. Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the new music.

Just as we anticipated, superstar duo Dan + Shay have officially announced their new album and released a brand new song! Three years after the self-titled album transformed the duo into bonafide cross-country superstars, the singers are ready to release another project. Good Things will be available everywhere on August 13th. To hold fans over, Dan + Shay dropped the title track, available now.

The new single joins smash hits “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber, “Glad You Exist,” and “I Should Probably Go To Bed.” “Good Things” is a beautifully put-together tune. It depicts a broken relationship, where they still think the world of their ex. Dan + Shay manage to bring their country-pop flair to the song in a nostalgic, yet innovative way. The uplifting side of the song is so refreshing.

“So when it’s late at night and you’re still wide awake // If you’re with your friends or you’re lonely // When you hear somebody start to sty my name // Oh when you think of me // I hope you think good things”

If the release says anything about the record, Good Things is sure to be another platinum-selling success for the duo. The production, the vocals, and the lyrics all work effortlessly together.

Fans can catch “Good Things” and many more songs on the newly resumed ‘Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour.’ The tour rolls through New York City’s Madison Square Garden on September 16th. Find tickets here.

Dustin Lynch Releases Two Brand New Songs Post Collaborations

Dustin Lynch’s new songs, “Not Every Cowboy” and “Pasadena” are available now, July 16th on all streaming platforms. Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the new music.

Small town boy, Dustin Lynch released two new tracks today, July 16th. “Not Every Cowboy” and “Pasadena” are out now. The new music follows his recent collaborations “Tequila on a Boat” with Chris Lane, and his re-recording of “Thinking ‘Bout You” with MacKenzie Porter.

Driven by fiddle and acoustic guitar, “Not Every Cowboy” is a pure country, love ballad. It is about breaking the stereotype of the typical cowboy. Penned by Casey Brown, Parker Welling, Conner Smith, and Heather Morgan, the man takes pride in the fact that he’s still a cowboy even though he doesn’t ride a black mustang, drink whiskey like it’s water, and –most importantly- -doesn’t ride away from the woman he’s with. Lynch’s powerful vocals shine in the catchy chorus.

Girl I bet your mama warned you about guys like me // and this outlaw in my blood, ain’t a wildcard up my sleeve // ‘Cause I ain’t a silhouette standing // headed out west in the red sunset // taking your heart with me // So let me show you that not every cowboy leaves

“Pasadena” tells the story of two out-of-town strangers who met and quickly fell in the love in the sunny, southern California city. Although they are only there for three nights, the two plan on making the most out of their stay, due to the lavish chemistry built between them. Sarah Buxton provides backing vocals on this track, which was written by Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndell. Both songs were produced by Zach Crowell, who produced Lynch’s latest album, Tullahoma, all of Sam Hunt’s catalog, and many other songs for Nashville’s brightest acts.

Like many other country artists, Lynch has several headlining and festival tour dates on his schedule. For tickets, head to his website.

Niko Moon Premieres Brand New Song “SMALL TOWN STATE OF MIND”

Niko Moon’s new song “SMALL TOWN STATE OF MIND” is available now, July 16th on all streaming platforms. Take a look below as we dig a little deeper into the new music.

Fresh off his first number one radio single with “GOOD TIME,” Niko Moon is back with more new music. The country crooner has grown to become one of the most beloved newcomers in the industry. Between his bright and cheery personality and his undeniable talent, Moon is here to stay. Today the singer releases his brand new song entitled “SMALL TOWN STATE OF MIND.”

The song begins with a simple instrumental and Moon’s delightful rasp. Both the story and the groove of the track unfold in unison. Topically, the singer-songwriter does not try to reinvent the wheel, but melodically, the entertainer brings something new and fresh to country music. Moon shares his own experiences with small-town living in such a way that feels relatable to some and desirable to others.

“Good friends and a bottle of shine // Whenever you roll up your right on time // That small town state of mind, small town state of mind // Southern breeze on the Georgia pines // Soul food and some homemade wine // High school football game on a Friday night // Crickets singing like a Sunday choir // Tailgate down by the fire”

Moon remains one of the most interesting artists in our genre today. He does not try to be anything that he is not. He continues to find success with just being himself and creating music that he loves. “SMALL TOWN STATE OF MIND” is another great jam for the rising artist. Check out the video below for our exclusive performance and interview with Niko Moon, when he joined us live in New York City back in March 2020.

Georgia Webster: ‘First Goodbye’ EP – Review

Georgia Webster’s First Goodbye EP is out today, July 16th, on all streaming platforms. Featuring tracks such as “Push & Pull” and “Tell Your Mom,” check out our full review below.

We always look forward to Fridays because of the incredible new releases by country artists. Today, we are extra excited because talented singer-songwriter Georgia Webster makes her major-label debut. The Sony Music Nashville signee may only be 17 years old, but she has all the wisdom you need to make great music. Webster’s debut EP First Goodbye is officially out.

The EP kicks off with two songs that fans might be familiar with, due to the singer’s massive presence on social media. “Tell Your Mom” is arguably the song that made it happen for the songstress. The track went viral on TikTok back in July of 2020, and fans are still obsessed with it today. It is one of those songs that is both lyrically and melodically soothing.

“Summer nights and the way we kissed ya // Thought I was done didn’t know I missed it // But when I heard her voice I couldn’t breathe // Tell your mom to stop calling me // No disrespect, she’s the nicest lady // But she reminds me of you and lately // I’ve been holding myself up from falling // Please tell your mama to stop // calling, calling, calling”

Next up, “Push & Pull” brings us all back to that place of not wanting to end a relationship that your heart is no longer in. Webster admits to just not quite feeling it with her current relationship. Although many artists tackle heartbreak in their music, the singer does so in a way that gives a voice to those relationships that are good, but just not good enough.

The record transitions into another slow song with the title track, “First Goodbye.” Unlike “Push & Pull,” the heartache is truly evident on this song. Webster recounts a high school relationship and all the “firsts.” The song is nostalgic, sweet, and deeply personal. The songstress really lets fans into her heart on this diamond of a song.

“I can’t stop going back and forth // I keep asking myself // if freedom and growing is worth being alone, but I guess it’s too late now // and back then we had it easier, never wanted to leave // I say it and it hurts”

On “UGLY,” Webster shows off her sassier side. The singer describes a physically beautiful teen boy, but still labels him as “ugly” because of the way he treated her. The song feels stage-ready; despite, its melancholy content.

The record wraps up perfectly with “Box of Memories.” Although the song feels somber, we can all relate to that physical box of an old relationship that is pushed away into the back of our closet. “Box of Memories” is a song that paints imagery to that feeling and that physicality. It beautifully puts a bow on the record in a way that feels like a chapter ending.

The entire record is truly made up of what feels like diary entries from the songstress. Mashing up John Mayer vibes with old-school Taylor Swift, Webster finds the sweet spot with her knack for songwriting and her captivating country-pop vocals. Congrats to the singer on an incredible debut!

First GoodbyeEP Tracklist:

  2. Push & Pull

Morgan Wallen is Back on the Country Airplay Chart with “Sand In My Boots”

Morgan Wallen is back on the Country Airplay Chart with his song “Sand In My Boots,” off his record Dangerous: The Double AlbumThis marks Wallen’s return to the charts, since his tumultuous start of 2021.

Although Morgan Wallen has been laying low the last few months to work on himself, amidst racial slur scandal, the singer-songwriter is slowly making his way back into the limelight. Earlier this month, the singer shared an unreleased song called “Thought You Should Know” on his social media. This week we learn that the singer is officially back on the Country Airplay chart with his song “Sand In My Boots.”

At the start of last week, the song entered the chart at the #56 spot. This is the first time, since February when Wallen’s radio single “7 Summers” peaked in the top fifteen. Currently “Sand In My Boots” is not an official single, but it has been a fan-favorite since its release.

Only time will tell if radio and country music will continue to welcome Wallen back in. It seems like the trajectory is heading in his favor. Fans can catch more of the singer and what he is up to on social media. It appears the singer is in the studio again and making strides towards a comeback.

Until then, fans have plenty to hold them over. Dangerous: The Double Album features 35 original songs to listen to, including “7 Summers” and “Sand In My Boots.”

Dan + Shay Hint at New Music and Album Coming Soon

Dan + Shay hinted at new music and album coming soon on their social media over the weekend. Could the first song from the upcoming album be released this week?!

dan-and-shay-new-songs

It has been three years since superstar country duo Dan + Shay have released their incredible self-titled record. The men have been very active on social media, but over the weekend, they finally hinted at the news we were all waiting for.

First Dan + Shay took to their Instagram stories to share the new dates for their ‘The Arena Tour.’ The photo was captioned with “hint: new album before tour.” The tour kicks off in September, so we could be expecting a brand new record sooner rather than later! We already know the record is finished, based on a recent Instagram post.

Soon after, the duo took to their stories yet again, simply sharing “it’s gonna be a good week.” This further proves our theory that new music is coming from Dan + Shay this week! Gear up and keep checking back for more information as it develops.

The last song that Dan + Shay released was their touching and viral song “Glad You Exist.” The duo also recently released their song “I Should Probably Go to Bed,” which landed at the top of the charts at the beginning of the year. Both songs will most likely be included on the next record, which Dan + Shay are calling their “best album yet.”

Who Is MaRynn Taylor? The Story Behind Her Journey to Country Music

Who is MaRynn Taylor? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about her journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…

who is MaRynn Taylor

MaRynn Taylor

The Beginning:

Today we are highlighting a rising artist who is just twenty years old and at the start of an incredible journey. Hailing from Michigan and now a Nashville transplant, MaRynn Taylor is a one-of-a-kind talent. She grew up around music and knew she wanted to sing country music for a living at an early age. “I started pretty young,” she tell us in our recent chat. “I think it was about 4 when I started doing little mini-performances for my family in the living room and I had the little plastic mic and I would sing gibberish and they would put on music in the background.”

Always finding inspiration from her parents and what they were listening to, Taylor fell in love with country music. Her parents introduced her to artists like Garth Brooks, John Denver, Trisha Yearwood, and The Chicks. “There was always music in my house,” she shares, adding, “I just kinda gravitated towards it naturally.”

By the age of twelve,  Taylor solidified her desire to play country music. “I went on a real stage for the first time. It was like my 6th-grade talent show,” shared the songstress. “It’s really when I fell in love with performing and I starting singing at little festivals in the summertime.”

Taylor took her love for country artists like Carrie Underwood and all the women in 90s country with her when she finally made the big move to Nashville just out of high school. “I knew I wanted to be just like them.”

The Turning Point:

Three years ago, Taylor and her family headed south to their new home in Nashville, Tennessee. Back in sixth grade, during a family trip to Music City, the singer had declared her love for Nashville. She knew back then that she would end up living and working in the city. “I just knew I loved music,” shares Taylor. “Something in me knew that I was going to come back and I was going to live here. It just felt like home. I finished high school when I was 17 and I told my parents I want to do this.”

Since moving to Nashville, the songstress has been able to grow her talent and her voice. She has even begun writing her own music, which she shares has been one of the most rewarding parts of being in the industry. I would write little poems and stories as a kid. I always loved it, but I didn’t start really songwriting until I moved to Nashville and I began writing with a lot of people here.”

Later, the singer declared her love of the city she now calls home, once more. “There’s no place I’d rather be. The heart of country music is here and I love it.”

Today:

Nowadays, Taylor can officially say that her dreams are her reality. Since moving to Nashville, the songstress has gotten to play gigs and put out original music. Most recently, the singer dropped a heartfelt and beautiful song called “Lies of My Fears.” The song showcases the singer-songwriter’s ability to just ‘go there’ and be vulnerable with her fans through her music.

“We got in the room together and [one of the co-writers] actually had the idea and I was like wow I could really relate to putting my own self down and it was pretty vulnerable sharing my fears and sometimes doubts that are in my head almost daily honestly,” she tells us, recounting the writing experience.

Since its release, Taylor has learned how relatable sharing your fears and your heart can be for listeners and fans of country music in general. “Lies of My Fears” is a song that will keep fans in her corner for a long time to come.

As we continue into the second half of 2021, Taylor promises more music this year. She shared that she is working on so much music right now as well as playing shows whenever she can.  Overall though the most important thing to her is “I can’t wait for people to hear more of myself and my heart.”
