Who is Tyler Nance? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about his journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…

who-is-tyler-nance

Tyler Nance

Quick Facts:

Full name – Tyler Nance
Hometown – Lamar, Missouri
Current city – Nashville, Tennessee
Musical influences – Keith Whitley, Hank Williams Jr, Everly Brothers
Current Single – “Keeps Me Sane” (as of date of article: 01/26/2026)
The Beginning:

Today’s artist is a singer-songwriter, who had quite the impressive year in 2025. Tyler Nance is slowly, but surely making everyone know his name. We chatted with the singer about his journey to music, his current songs, and of course, what fans can expect for 2026. Keep reading to learn more about the artist.

“I’m from a small-town in South West, Missouri, called Lamar. Fourth generation cattle farmer, and I also welded on the road for three years, and it’s kind of where I started getting into music,” began Nance. Despite loving music from an early age, the singer didn’t realize the gift he had until later on in life.

“I never thought I could sing. I never really tried. I just sang in the car and the shower, but I’ve always had a large impact on my life,” he shared, adding, ““My grandma put me on to a lot of the older stuff, like Rock N Roll and also country. It was a lot of Keith Whitley, Hank Williams Jr., Everly Brothers, just all over the place mix of people and other artists, that’s what really influenced me.”

Without even knowing it at the time, the music Nance fell in love with started to seep there way into his story-telling and eventually, his songwriting. “Whenever I was welding on the road, music is what I kinda did to get out of my own head and to pass time, and cure my boredom, and I happened to start posting and opportunities came with me posting, and it all went from there.”

The Turning Point:

As he continued working on the road, Nance found solace in music. “I always enjoyed poetry, but not that deep of a level. I enjoyed words and rhymes and stuff, and I found that fascinating, and I thought I could do it, so the first song I wrote in my truck, I had just got off work, and I was driving home, and I just had thoughts that popped into my head, and it happened like that.”

Naturally introspective and honest, the music that was pouring out of the singer started to resonate with his buddies. “I never was going to post anything on social media, I was too nervous, but I had a buddy that I worked on the road with who told me to start posting,” he shared, adding, “I usually tell people that I had a few beers one night, and I posted a song I had written on TikTok.”

Nance’s success and vitality on social media led him to connect with people that would ultimately change the trajectory of his life. “I’m always so shocked when I look at the numbers and stuff. It’s been such a short amount of time for things to be as big as they are now. It blows my mind,” shared the singer. “Most of this has been done by reaching out and networking on social media. That’s how I met my management.”

Today:

Flash forward to today, Nance is showing no signs of slowing down in 2026. His latest singles, “Keep Me Sane” featuring The Castellows and “Hell If I Know” speak to his undeniable talent as an artist.

When it comes to the collaboration with The Castellows, Nance wanted to breathe new life into the viral hit. “The collaboration is really simple. They couldn’t have made it any easier. Once we found out and got our schedules to align to be able to go into the studio and meet each other, they’re just a super talented group of people,” he shared.

“Keep Me Sane” is the type of song that makes you think, yet feels like it could have been ripped from a diary.  “The song itself, I was sitting right here, and I picked up my guitar, and I had written pretty much the first verse, and it was late, so I had a writing session the next day, and thought I would take it to them. I went to the write, and I finished the song here in Nashville. […] I never really expected the song to do anything, so it’s hard to get into words what it really means. I’d say mostly it’s about all the struggles I’ve put myself through and all the negative things, regardless of that, keeps me sane, keeps me moving forward. I think that stands true to life – the “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” type of thing.”

As 2026 unfolds, Nance is sure to release even more music. While he hopes to put out an album, one things for certain, the singer-songwriter will be playing live shows as much as possible. “There’s an Ian Munsick tour in February and March, and also in the spring, I plan on putting out an album for this year’s work, and I’m super excited about it because I’ve been writing so much this year, and I feel like I’ve grown so much as a writer, and the songs are just so good.” Grab tickets to a show near you here.

Hudson Westbrook: ‘Exclusive’ – EP Review

Hudson Westbrook shares his brand new EP, Exclusive out now January 23rd on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new project here.

With more Texas twang than Nashville bluster, 21 year old Hudson Westbrook is already carving out his own lane in modern country. A native of the Lone Star state, the rising singer-songwriter initially broke through with the vital hit, “Take It Slow.”

Inspired by the Red Dirt sounds of George Strait, Turnpike Troubadours, Parker McCollum, Koe Wetzel, and more, his debut EP, Exclusive, is out today. The rising singer-songwriter co-wrote the collection’s five tracks alongside the likes of Ryan Beaver, Jesse Frasure, Reid Haughton, and more.

Featuring a rootsy sound and mid-tempo swagger, the EP shows a young singer-songwriter who’s lyrically wise beyond his years. The title track kicks things off, pairing a twangy guitar groove with a familiar cautionary tale of missed chances. “All she wanted from you was exclusive, I bet right now you feel stupid. Yeah, you had your shot and you blew it.” He croons, convincing listeners of his heartbreak. Yet, as Westbrook sings of a “one in a million” girl who seems to have gotten away, he quickly flips the story, revealing that he’s the one who ultimately got the girl and some other guy is left feeling stupid.

Westbrook leans into his own lived-in love stories. On “LMWYL,” he delivers the vulnerable line, “You only love me when you’re lonely, and I don’t mind at all,” capturing the ache of accepting something that’s better than nothing. Meanwhile, “Lovin’ On Me” flips the mood, offering a flirty and playful ode to romance, musing, “You look good, but you look better lovin’ on me.”

Like on “Exclusive,” “If He Wanted To” finds him the better man in a situation. It’s a swinging ballad that showcases Westbrook’s emotional depth and gentlemanly tendencies. Here, he reminds someone special that a good man will raise the bar for her, without being asked.

“If he wanted to Yeah, you wouldn’t be second guessin’ // If he wanted you // He wouldn’t be able to help it // He’d be by your side, put his pride aside // And be lovin’ you like he should // If he wanted to, if he wanted you // He would”

The most infectious and radio-ready moment arrives with “Pretty Privilege,” an undeniable earworm that finds Westbrook falling prey to a woman’s charms. Clever and self-aware, the track captures the push-and-pull of attraction with humor, ending the EP on a high.

“Yeah, I’m fallin’ a victim to beautiful abuse // What’s a man to do // When you wear that dress so confident // I lose all my sense, gettin’ mixed up in // That born with it, that golden ticket // That what you want you get it // Pretty privilege”

With Exclusive, Hudson Westbrook continues to prove why he’s one to watch in country music. He remains unapologetically true to his Texas roots, releasing twangy Texas-tinted tunes that are sure to endear him to legions of new fans.

Country Swag Picks:

  1. If He Wanted To He Would
  2. Lovin’ On Me
  3. Pretty Privilege

Exclusive Tracklist:

Parker McCollum Shares Fan-Favorite Song “Big Ole Fancy House”

Parker McCollum releases new song “Big Ole Fancy House,” out now, January 23rd, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Back in June when Parker McCollum released his self-titled album, fans were devastated that “Big Ole Fancy House,” a song that went viral prior to the album’s release, was not amongst the track-list. While McCollum’s self-titled record was as raw and as honest as music comes, it can only be made better by giving the fans what they want. Today, the singer-songwriter officially releases, “Big Ole Fancy House.”

“Big Ole Fancy House” is an absolutely gut-wrenching and heartbreaking song, and yet, it’s stunning. The stripped-down ballad is true story-telling at its finest, with instrumentals that only make the song even greater. Fueled by its raw emotion and lyrics, “Big Ole Fancy House” is one of the very best on McCollum’s impressive catalog of hits.

“I thought you would be the one to kill me // Guess it’s true // I can’t live with the memory // What do I do? // I thought I could live without you // And I lied // Now this big ol’ empty house // Is eating me alive // Can’t walk out the door now // Devil’s got the key // He’s the only besides God who knows // Why you quit loving me // The walls are closing in now // Got to talking late at night // Yeah this big ole empty house is just eating me alive”

In conjunction with the release of the songs, fans get to celebrate that Parker McCollum (The Deluxe Edition) will be out on March 20th. Get ready to preorder the record now!

It is a quiet, yet authentic promise to keep growing together and to be the best version of yourself that you can be.

Mitchell Tenpenny Kicks off 2026 with New Song “You Phase”

Mitchell Tenpenny releases new song “You Phase,” out now, January 23rd, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand new track below.

Mitchell Tenpenny continues to be one of the most consistent artists in country music. Each and every song he releases feels distinctly him. Whether he’s singing about heartache, nostalgia or love, M10 does not disappoint. Today the singer-songwriter shares his newest song to date. “You Phase” is officially out now, kicking off 2026.

The brand new song already feels like an ear worm. Catchy and relatable, “You Phase’ is both a cool play on words and depicts a universal experience for most. As a song and a concept, it’s unique and a breath of fresh air. “When I heard the phrase ‘you phase’ mentioned in the room that day I knew exactly how to write this song. I’ve personally had so many phases in my life. Some good and some bad, but to refer to a phase in the song as a relationship was certainly a unique concept. I have never heard it expressed in that way. We all go through transitions in our life with relationships, careers and more trying to figure out who we are and where we want to be,” shared the singer in a recent press release.

“Yeah, I started drinking white wine // Even let you talk me into getting matching tattoos // I was living in a white lie // Doing everything, I said I would never do // Oh, but now I see // What everyone else was seeing // You had a hold on me // Guess I didn’t wanna believe it // I was going through a you phase those days // I was living out a suitcase at your place // All my buddies told me you changed, yeah I changed // Trying to be what I thought you wanted // I’ll admit it I lost myself for a minute // Damn near drowned, I was so deep in it // But these days, I ain’t’ // It’s like who was he // Baby, that was me in my you phase // Oh, my you phase”

Carly Pearce Drops Brand New Song “Church Girl”

Carly Pearce shares her brand new song, “Church Girl,” out now on all streaming platforms. Get all the details and listen below.

Throughout her long career, Carly Pearce has always shared her heart with fans. In this new era of music for Pearce, she seems to be bringing her most vulnerable self to the forefront. Last year we fell in love with her raw song, “Dream Come True”, and today, she’s releasing another honest song. “Church Girl” is officially out now.

Written by Cameron Bedell, Seth Ennis, and Carter Faith, “Church Girl” is an unexpected and comppasionate ballad that re-examines one’s relationship with the Bible. Through the song, Pearce gives a big hug to anyone who has ever felt like they were going to “Hell’ for their lifestyle or any of their sins. A true message of acceptance, more love, and less judgement, “Church Girl’ is a beautiful song.

“Hey, church girl doin’ everything wrong // Walking on eggshells with your high heels on // Hey, church girl with the Jezebel dress // Better take it off, you’re making all the boys think sex // You got your questions but you’re too scared to ask // I’m just a sinner who’s been where you’re at // So, you like to get high // When you talk to Jesus  // So, you love who you love // And you go out on the weekends // So, you drink, and you think for yourself // That don’t mean you’ll go to hell // When you leave this world // Just ‘cause you heard it in church, girl”

Pearce outdoes herself with this song. We can only hope that a full-length project is in the works for later this year featuring “Church Girl” and other depth-full songs like it.
