Russell Dickerson earns his sixth number one song at country radio with his single, “Happen To Me.” Learn more below.
Since the moment the song was released, we knew that Russell Dickerson’s song, “Happen To Me” was something special! While Dickerson has cranked out hit after hit in his career over the years, “Happen To Me” feels like a huge up-leveling for the entertainer. Today, the single is the number one song at country radio.
Celebrating his sixth number one at country radio, Dickerson is as humble, as he is, excited about the monumental feat. Written by Dickerson with heavy hitters, Chase McGill, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Chris LaCorte, “Happen To Me” is mid-tempo jam! “Happen To Me” is nostalgic, catchy, and truly made for radio and the live stage. The song truly captures Dickerson’s pop-country song and gives fans an anthem among ballads to fall in love with with each and every listen.
“I don’t know who broke up with who // But she’s in here chasin’ tequila with High Noon // Don’t know how long she’s been moving on // Maybe five weeks or five minutes but can’t be too long // We did that what’s your name thing // Where you from and what’s your favorite drink // She said shut up and come dance with me // And now she’s singing // Girls just wanna have fun // at the top of her lungs”
Congratulations to Dickerson and his team on the number one! We cannot wait to see what song flies up the county charts next.

Block’s new song is an honest and heartbreaking break-up song. “Phones & Radios” talks about how it feels to know a relationship is ending. Block cleverly shares that the only things that should break-up on an old backroad is phones and radios. The imagery paired with the catchy melody makes “Phones & Radios” one of the singer’s best to date.
“When I got in your truck tonight // I didn’t know where you and I were headed // a quarter after seven // bout ten miles west of town // I could tell we were going south together // Thought we’d ride around together // Back road we were on the rocks // A different kind of lost // and then my heart and every bar of service dropped // Was that static on the FM or did you just say we’re done // Can’t blame bad reception, when I’m sitting here shotgun// Yeah, I just heard it’s over and I heard it crystal clear // Only phones and radios should break up out here”
“Phones & Radios” is catchy, relatable, and honest, all things that fans can expect from album number two. Block continues to impress song after song, and we cannot wait for the world to here what she has coming soon!

Who is Ashland Craft? The singer-songwriter joined us to chat about her journey to country music. Get to know the rising star here…
Ashland Craft // Photo credit: Nicole Murphy
Quick Facts:
Full Name – Ashland Craft
Birthdate – April 30th
Hometown – Piedmont, South Carolina
Current City – Nashville, Tennessee
Musical Influences – Shania Twain, Chris Stapleton, Ronnie Milsap, Conway Twitty, Bonnie Raitt, Def Leppard
Label – LEO33
Current Single – “Lie A Little” (as of date of article: 9/8/2025)
The Beginning:
Today’s spotlight is an artist we have been sharing for several years now, Ashland Craft. Craft is an incredible vocalist, a true artist, and a songwriter that writes about what she knows. While the songstress has had many different moments in her career, currently, she is creating her best music to date. We chatted with Craft about her new music, how much became her calling, and everything in between.
“I was raised in a town called Piedmont, South Carolina, which is, right outside the city of Greenville, South Carolina,” shared the singer. “Blue collar parents who had the same jobs their entire lives and worked really hard. Because of her parents, Craft was raised with an unmatched work ethic, as well as, an early love for music.
I grew up in church, singing some songs and music kind of got a hold of me at a really young age, so to me, it’s kind of the one thing that I’ve always loved and known and felt confident,” shared the singer. She recalls enjoying artists like George Jones and Shania Twain. “It’s so hard for me [to choose favorites] because I think I just love music so much I was absorbing everything, but if I had to list a couple that really made an impact on me, I would say, George Jones, a lot of his writing and realism in his music and being brutally honest about stuff like, I loved that aspect. My dad loved George Jones and, Merle Haggard and all of those, you know, icons. So I really appreciated from a young age to them just like telling how it was, I guess. Even if if it was hard or uncomfortable. It’s just like somebody related to that, and I thought that was really special. Shania Twain, honestly, is another pivotal artist for me.”
The Turning Point:
Despite loving music from an early age, Craft was not aware of the huge music industry that she would eventually take part in. “I think where I’m from, I didn’t necessarily think music was an option as a career. It was always a dream and something that it just led me through life, truly. I just made decisions. I didn’t even think about it. I was just like, we’ll go wherever the music takes me.”
For Craft, music was an outlet that became one of the most important things in her life. “I went through some very hard things as a kid, and that became, like, almost therapy for me when I felt, you know, misunderstood or not heard out, or, you, just any situation, really, is when I turn to music, and I felt seen. So, I think that is probably one of the biggest reasons that kind of led me here today.”
As her life unfolded, Craft found herself auditioning for The Voice and playing dive bars gigs around town. “I’ve just tried to spend or fill all my time with music in some way, shape, or form, and that eventually brought me here to Nashville, where I’m just trying to release music and let people see good kind of music that, like, made me growing up.”
Along the way, through trial and error and opportunity, Craft truly found her voice, her team at LEO33, and her sound. “Every time I did something with music, it was just like a natural call and, and I never wanted to leave,” she shared.
Today:
Flash forward to today, Craft is all in on her music. Most recently, Craft released her record Dive Bar Beauty Queen featuring eleven songs. The record as a whole pays tribute to the songs that inspire her, the artists that blazed the path she is walking, and the songs that poured out of her on this journey.
“We were getting to the end of the process, about a year in, and I had sent my label this song that I had written when I was nineteen, and I sent them “Dive Bar Beauty Queen” and they were like ‘we have to release this.’ And for me, that was a big leap of faith in myself, because I just remembered the age that I was when I wrote that. You know, I hadn’t really gone through many as many experiences as I had up to this point, but I think that was the enticing factor of getting that song is I think my biggest goal is to show the journey from kind of start to finish or at least start to where I am now and I think we all just collectively decided there was not a song that was more me to a tee than that one, and it was the only song I really written by myself.”
“Dive Bar Beauty Queen” became the pillar for the entire project, allowing fans to see the love and honesty that Craft’s music is all about. “I really wanted people to see this side to me. I didn’t just, like, move to Nashville and then just, you know, start jumping on tours,” she shared, adding, “I’ve had a lot of folks, like, stick around as long as they have, and we’re selling tickets to my first headlining tour, and I’m just excited to be able to give a way longer set than we I think typically have in the past.”
For Craft, the music and the fans are everything. She will continue to showcase that as she tours with fellow artist Meg Patrick. Fans can grab tickets here. Stay tuned for even more coming from Craft!

Lanie Gardner shares her new album, Faded Polaroids, officially out now, September 5th on all streaming platforms. Learn more and listen to the new album below.
Since arriving on the country music scene, Lanie Gardner has carved her own lane as a singer-songwriter in the genre. She creates music that is unapologetically her, while pairing honest storytelling lyrics with thoughtful melodies and arrangements. Her recent EP, polaroids set the stage for her incredible sophomore album, Faded Polaroids, out today.
“I created the idea of Faded Polaroids using actual polaroids. Some brand new, others nicotine-stained, withered, torn and worn from being passed down through the years,” shared Gardner in a recent press release. “It felt like zooming out on my whole life and finally seeing the bigger picture. These snapshots — these songs — are the most beautiful parts of me. They tell the story of where I come from, who I come from, what I’ve learned and who I’m becoming. I hope these songs encourage people to take the time to make their own version of that too. I think it’s important that we all do.”
Faded Polaroids intentionally features eighteen songs including the six off the previously released EP. Opening up with “Takin’ The Slow Ride,” Gardner invites listeners to enjoy life’s simplest moments. Like many of her songs, such as “Mama’s Kitchen Table” and “Love You Like Appalachia”, the songstress pays homage to her home state of North Carolina and takes fans on a journey to appreciate her home-state’s beauty.
The record as a whole seamlessly blends genre, drawing on inspiration from Gardner’s rock and folk influences. Full of unfiltered anthems like, “Boot Down”, “Jeans,” and “Ur Mad,” this songstress sings her truth. On the latter, “Ur Mad,” Gardner brings the confidence and cements that she will not apologize for who she is.
While Faded Polaroids is full of thoughtful anthems, it also has deep moments of personal healing and self-discovery. On “Daddy Didn’t,” Gardner explores and opens up about her relationship with her father, allowing fans an inside look into her upbringing. Similarly on the title track, the singer-songwriter takes a sentimental look-back at moments in time, a true culmination of photographs that make up her story.
Each and every song off Faded Polaroids is purposeful and personal, yet relatable. Gardner has found a way to weave her true experiences into a beautiful work of art, something that fans will find themselves in again and again. Faded Polaroids is a record you are going to want to come back to again and again. Gardner outdid her self on the project.

Brendan Walter releases new song, “The Other Side” is out now, September 5th, on all streaming platforms. Listen to the brand-new track below.
RECORDS Nashville and Sony Music Nashville recording artist, Brendan Walter continues to impress. Each release takes fans deeper into Walter’s world, as his songs put his storytelling on a pedestal in a way that’s both intriguing and honest. Today’s new song, “The Other Side” exemplifies that perfectly.
Written by Walter with Robert Williford and Grady Smith, “The Other Side” is a beautiful, yet tragic song about the desperation you feel when you don’t know if a relationship is going to work out, but you want it to. According to Walter, the song is written from a true and authentic place. “’In my last relationship, it was the first time I could have seen myself going the distance with someone, and while it was exciting, there is a level of feeling like you are jumping off a cliff to potentially be hurt again. There is a certain desperation that I felt to make it work and not make the same mistakes I had in the past, and the hope was to convey this desperation as a longing to find my person.”
“You left your hair tie in my kitchen // Is this just a hopeless promotion // I can see you and me // On the brink of forever and ever // I don’t know how it goes // But I’m holding a letter // Close to my chest, it says // Call me by my name // I don’t like this game where // I run, you hid // Can we make it to the other side”
Much like “Normal Day” and “Life Of Deseret,” “The Other Side” paints a vivid picture of a universal experience, while inviting the listener into the mind of Walter as a storyteller and a true artist.
