Time and time again, we’re impressed with a country music collaboration, and today’s collaborative artists fit the bill! Carly Pearce joins forces with Riley Green on a steamy new song called “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay.” Both Pearce and Green prove why they are modern-day stars in the country genre.
The song captures the relatable feeling of not being able to let a relationship stay in the past. Throughout the song, the couple flirts with a wine-fueled reconciliation of sorts, one that would only lead to more heartbreak. Pearce and Green take turns delivering honest and gut-wrenching lyrics; however, their chemistry is on full display during moments of harmonies.
“Collaborating with artists I’m a fan of is one of my favorite things to do,” shares Pearce in a recent press release. “I’ve been a fan of Riley’s for so long and knew if we could find the right moment, it would be special. ‘If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay’ is the perfect moment for us!” Green added, “I’ve been a huge fan of Carly and her voice for a long time, so it was cool to get the text from her about this song. The harmonies were unique and there was something really different about it. I’m glad she thought of me for this song, it’s awesome to get to do something together.”

Pearce outdoes herself with this song, and Green was the perfect duet partner for her. We can only hope that a full-length project is in the works for later this year for the the songstress, and of course, we hope that there is a more to come from Green too!
