Shelton continues to find success again and again. This week, his single, “Stay Country Or Die Tryin'” is the number one song at country radio.

A true ode to the country lifestyle, the singer knew that the song would fit in effortlessly with his massive catalog of hits. “Stay Country Or Die Tryin'” marks the second single off of Shelton’s project, For Recreational Use Only. When the singer heard the news of the number one, he took to social media to express his gratitude, especially to the fans.  ““Stay Country Or Die Tryin!!!!” Wow thank you country radio for making this song #1 and thank you to the fans for listening! Written by Johnny Clawson, Kyle Sturrock, Josh Dorr, and Lalo Guzman finds a man grappling with the emotions of being left alone, after a free-spirited woman leaves for most likely, Texas. The song is charming, thought-provoking, and a perfect song for Shelton to add to his catalog.
