Over his multiple decade career, Blake Shelton has put out hit after hit, while simultaneously becoming a household name both in country music and the entertainment world in general. Today, Shelton follows up his collaborative number one with Post Malone with another number one song! His latest single, “Texas” is officially the top song on the country charts this week!

“Texas” marks Shelton’s debut for his new label home, BBR MUSIC GROUP/BMG NASHVILLE and Wheelhouse Records, making it even more special that the song hit the top of the charts. Written by Johnny Clawson, Kyle Sturrock, Josh Dorr, and Lalo Guzman finds a man grappling with the emotions of being left alone, after a free-spirited woman leaves for most likely, Texas. The song is charming, thought-provoking, and a perfect song for Shelton to add to his catalog.

“She ain’t my girl // (“Where she been?”) I ain’t quite sure // Good question, no tellin’, but I’m bettin’ // She’s probably in Texas // Amarillo, all I know // George Strait said it // Yeah, that’s where all them exes go // If she ain’t with me out here in Tennessee // Then I don’t know where she’s headed // If I’m guessin’, I reckon // She’s probably in Texas // She’s probably in Texas”

Congrats to Blake Shelton and his team on his number one single!
