NYCountry Swag Founder and Operator Stephanie Wagner grew up on the water in Broad Channel, a small island community in Queens, NY. After studying Business Management, Stephanie continued to pursue a career in event management with IGC Hospitality, a thriving food and beverage company primarily located in New York City.
After organizing several successful country music-themed events with IGC, she recognized the niche, untapped market of country music in New York City. In an effort to tie two things she loved together, country music and special events, Stephanie founded NYCountry Swag in December of 2015.
She gives credit to her mother for her fascination with the music world. Whether late nights of watching music videos, music awards shows, or any type of music documentary together or listening to her mom sing along to music from the greats like Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, or Pat Benatar, when she thinks of her first memories of music, Stephanie thinks of her mom.
Fun Fact – “Swag” was a nickname given to Stephanie long before the start of NYCountry Swag. The name is a play on her own name and initials, S WAGner.
