Kane Brown Debuts Brand New, Unreleased Song, “Be Like That”

During the opening night of Kane Brown’s Worldwide Beautiful Tour, the country superstar debuted a brand new track called, “Be Like That”. Brown prefaced the song, claiming that it would officially be released sometime in March and would be his next single to pop radio.

Check it out in the video below.

“Be Like That” is another heavily produced track in which the singer describes his complicated relationship. He hates constantly texting her and thinks he might be better off on his own but at the same time he says he’s not himself without her and he would never be able to move on if they broke up.  This is a common scenario that is not often expressed. The usual situation described in country music involves two people who have broken up but after a few drinks, they make an overnight mistake which leads them to evaluate their status. Brown calls attention to what’s going through the mind of someone in that relationship rather than what that person is doing to get over it.

He raps the bridge of the song and at the show, he teased a possible collaboration for the studio version of this track and mentioned it will be released sometime this month.

In addition to “Be Like That”, Brown debuted a second unreleased track titled, “Vodka Cranberry”. Check it out here.

Cam Professes True Ride-Or-Die Love In “Till There’s Nothing Left”

Cam Till There's Nothing Left

It’s been two years since country vocal powerhouse Cam dropped “Diane,” her empowering response to Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” Today, the Sony/RCA recording artist is back with a brand new single, “Till There’s Nothing Left,” a selfless love song about loving till the end of time.

The mid-tempo, sensual tune is Cam’s profession of her love for her husband, Adam Weaver, and the ends of the earth she’ll go to for him. “My husband and I will go drive and have a quickie in the back of the car. Why am I embarrassed to sing about that? ‘Till There’s Nothing Left’ is a commitment. It’s saying – I am gonna love you with everything I have, physically, spiritually, I’m so in.”

With drum loops, a looming echo and the repetition of “till there’s nothing left,” the nothingness that an end-of-time till-death-do-us-part love could not be conveyed any better.

“Till there’s nothing left / Till there’s nothing left / Me and you in the backseat / Drivin’ me crazy / Killin’ me baby / Till there’s nothing left / Till there’s nothing left / With the windows up / Spendin’ all my love / Prayin’ God don’t save me,” the 35-year-old sings poignantly in this monumental love song.

Penned by Hillary Lindsey (Carrie Underwood, Lady Gaga), Cam, and her longtime collaborators Tyler Johnson (Harry Styles, Sam Smith) and Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Bruno Mars), the song also received an incredibly stunning and haunting video treatment, courtesy of director Dano Cerney (The Chainsmokers, Elle King).

Shot at the Hitching Post Western Saloon in Portland, TN, everyone in the honky-tonk and car makes an intentional decision to make out like there’s no tomorrow (pretty literally), and if it that’s the final moment on earth, they’re fine with it. Undeniably, the idea of cherishing final moments with the ones you love is at the crux of this cinematic video’s storyline.

“It’s the end of the world and I know a little place in the eye of the storm. Let’s live our last moments dancing together in the neon glow,” says Cam.

In celebration of the release, Cam performed on The TODAY Show this morning and will be on Late Night with Seth Meyers tonight. Her highly-anticipated sophomore record is due for release later this year.

Brett Young Debuts Brand New, Unreleased Song For His Daughter, “Lady”

In honor of his 3-month-old baby girl, Brett Young debuted “Lady” during his sold-out show in New York City show on The Chapters Tour. Young prefaced his performance talking about how incredible his wife was, and the song that followed brought not only the singer-songwriter to tears, but the fans as well. Although the song is of course, for his daughter Presley, it also is a tribute to his wife Taylor.

“You can always run to daddy, you’ll always be my baby, but look at her baby girl and you’ll learn how to be a lady”

The touching lyrics were accompanied by beautiful pictures of Presley and Taylor on the big screens, only enhancing the moment.

Check it out in the video below.

Morgan Wallen Kicks Off 2020 By Reminiscing in “This Bar”

Morgan Wallen This Bar

CMA New Artist of the Year nominee, Morgan Wallen uses the New Year and his new song “This Bar” to reflect on his past. In this track, written by himself, Ernest K, Charlie Handsome, Jackson Morgan and his friend HARDY, Wallen sings about the good and bad times and the lessons this particular bar has taught him over the years.

His first memory of the bar was his 21st birthday when he got too drunk on whiskey sours and almost got into a fight, leading him to be escorted out by the bouncer. From this, he learned how to control himself. Another story he shared was when he saw his ex, with whom he initially met at this bar, walk inside with another guy. This taught him how to cope with the breakups and how to get through the ‘moving on’ process.

Making mistakes and making new friends / I was growing up and nothing made sense / Learning how to live with a broken heart / I found myself in this bar

“Wrote this song with my buddies about some moments and times in my life that have made me who I am today,” Wallen wrote in a tweet on New Year’s Eve. “Some good, some bad, but all of ’em I can look back on and grin a little. Hope it makes you do the same.” The photo attached was of him with four other friends at a bar in 2014.

The first show of Wallen’s headlining Whiskey Glasses Roadshow Tour, was last night in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Along with that, he is joining Jason Aldean on his We Back Tour starting January 30th in South Carolina.

Since the release of his debut album If I Know Me in 2018, Wallen has released a cover of Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up” and featured on Diplo’s “Heartless” and two songs on HARDY’s Hixtape Vol. 1, “He Went to Jared” and “Turn You Down”. We might be in the midst of a big 2020 from Morgan Wallen.

Jimmie Allen Teases Nelly Collab, “Let The Good Times Roll”

One of our favorites and Swag Session alumni, Jimmie Allen performed a killer new song called “Let The Good Times Roll” last week during his opening slot on the CMT on Tour with Michael Ray. The singer-songwriter collaborated and wrote the song with none other than cross-genre recording artist Nelly, watch the sneak peek below.

“Let The Good Times Roll” is a perfectly titled tune geared towards making fans dance and sing along. Written with rapper Nelly, the new jam even features a snippet of Nelly’s classic song “Country Grammar” of his debut record. The new song is infectious and will get stuck in your head after just a single listen. Allen is proving that his talent resonates across genre lines and that modern country music has no boundaries for a reason.

When it comes to his co-writer, Nelly is no stranger to collaborations. He has collaborated with everyone from Simple Plan to other hip-hop artists to even country’s own Florida Georgia Line on their smash hit “Cruise.” He also earned himself a major crossover hit with his song “Over and Over Again” featuring Tim McGraw and penned his own country tune, “Sound Good to Me.”

It will be exciting to see what other surprises Allen has for fans coming up soon, but we would be remiss if we didn’t hope for even more collaborations from the entertainer!

Morgan Evans Shines on New Single “Diamonds”

Morgan Evans Diamond

Following the success of his previous two singles, “Kiss Somebody” and “Day Drunk”, Australian singer-songwriter Morgan Evans released his new song, “Diamonds” on Friday, November 8th. It’s a song that matches his story perfectly, and it marks the official start of the next chapter of his life.

The banjo serves as a bass line and melody in this song, and there’s a simple, non-distracting drum beat that compliments the first verse very well. Halfway through the first verse, you can hear some slide guitar, which isn’t unexpected, considering Evans is a big fan of traditional country and bluegrass. (Watch him perform song “Young Again” with a bluegrass band here!) As soon as the chorus starts, kick-drum surprises the listener and the song really picks up from there.

Lyrically, the song is about Evans finding love unexpectedly, and it’s not the kind of love that burns out fast. It’s the type of love that’s forever- hence the title. “I found you like a treasure/Girl you made me better/I love you like a diamond/And diamonds are forever”, he sings on the chorus. It’s clever, and a timely song to put out, as he approaches his second wedding anniversary with fellow country star Kelsea Ballerini.

“I wrote ‘Diamonds’ for my wife and I’m so stoked to release it as a single,” Evans shared in a press release. “It’s is a fun love song, but deeper than that it celebrates that journey, from lost to found, you feel when you meet that person and everything changes, forever. I handpicked my dream band for the session and I can hear each of their personalities in the record. It just sounds really fresh to me, I’m really proud of that, I can’t wait to start playing it live!”

The song was written by Evans, Evan Bogart, and longtime-collaborator Chris DeStefano. The track was also produced by DeStefano, who produced his last LP, Things That We Drink To. It’s unclear when his second album is going to come out, but this is the first song off the new project. It still sounds like Evans, but it definitely has more production elements this time around.

Morgan Evans will be on tour this fall. To find out if he’s playing a city near you, visit his website. New York fans can catch him at Bowery Ballroom on December 7th with opening act, Madison Kozak.

Luke Combs Reveals Forthcoming Eric Church Collab

As if fans needed another reason to be pumped for Luke Combs’ highly anticipated sophomore record, due out on November 8th, the singer-songwriter just released some new details about the upcoming album!

Combs revealed a blurred out track list on his Twitter and Instagram, casually mentioning that fans should check out number 13 on the list of 17 new songs. The 13th track looks to be called “Does To Me,” featuring none other than The Chief himself, Eric Church. Combs possibly cowrote the track with fellow songwriter Ray Fulcher. It appears that the two are avid Church fans, so it would only make sense that Church himself would collaborate with Combs on the track.

“Does To Me” marks the second known collaboration off the upcoming album. Last month, the hitmaker released “1, 2 Many”, which featured the iconic duo Brooks and Dunn.

Check back next month for our first impression review of Combs’ record, What You See Is What You Get.

He’s BACK! Sam Hunt Debuts Brand New Song “Sinning With You”

Sam Hunt catapulted to superstardom with his debut Grammy-nominated album, Montevallo back in 2014. Two years later, he released the record breaking hit song, “Body Like a Back Road”, which sat at the top of the charts for 34 weeks. Since that? — Nothing. We have not heard much from the singer-songwriter, leaving the country music industry and fans everywhere stumped.

In June 2019, Sam Hunt broke his silence leaving fans in suspense when he took to social media to post a cryptic message including just a few emojis and a countdown, leading fans to believe that new music was coming. However, upon completion much to everyone’s disappointment (except for maybe those in Canada) Hunt announced he would be a part of the Bud Light House Party Tour in Calgary on September 19th.

Months went by and still no word from Sam Hunt until that House Party Tour came which aired live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Hunt tells the crowd that new music will be coming in about a month and fans can expect the new record in the early new year. About 50 minutes into the set of finally hearing that familiar voice, the superstar told the packed out room, “for the folks that are listening at home, I wanted to play something from the new record. It’s kind of chill and slow. If y’all will humor me, I’ll play that and then we’ll go out with a bang.”

Hunt started the song alone with just him and the acoustic guitar as the rest of the band slowly joined in on the delicate track and officially debuted the future release, “Sinning With You”. Check it out in the video below on the 53-minute mark.

Little Big Town Release Brand New Song, ‘Over Drinking’

It has been an exciting week for fans of Little Big Town with the announcement of a new single, tour, and album. The Grammy-winning group decided to change things up a bit from their 2014 hit “Day Drinking” and released their newest single “Overdrinking” off of their highly anticipated ninth studio album Nightfall which is slated to be released January 17th, 2020.

Produced by Little Big Town, this is a song and sound, unlike anything the group has ever done and that may be surprising to all considering the group is known to have diverse musical talent. Penned by Music Row veterans: Ashley Gorley, Cary Barlowe, Hillary Lindsey, Jesse Frasure, and Steph Jones, the traditional sounding booze-filled song takes on a more non-traditional approach to what would be classic “drinking to get over you” scenario. Rather, “Overdrinking” showcases a celebratory side to moving on and taking care of yourself, with lyrics, “I’m drunk ’cause I’m happy, not drunk ’cause you’re gone.”

“Overdrinking” gives modern take on a traditional honky-tonk drinking ballad and showcases the foursome’s harmonies throughout the chorus, “I’m over drinking over you, I’m done with bottles or chasing the blues, I still go out with the boys and knock back a few, But I’m over drinking over you.” The song proves that there is a victory in what could be seen as the worst of times especially with Karen Fairchild’s convincing lead vocals singing, “I ain’t on the wagon, these wheels are still turnin’ but I’m tired of you draggin’ my heart through the dirt and the hurt/ I’m over drinkin’ over you.”

Little Big Town will perform “Overdrinking” for the first time together tomorrow on NBC’s Today Show during the 8 AM hour. In addition, the intimate Nightfall Tour with 30 scheduled dates will run from January through May at prestigious theatres across the country. Little Big Town will kick off the tour in New York City with a once in a lifetime performance at the famous Carnegie Hall, and back to back nights at Harlem’s Apollo Theatre. Tickets for the tour go on sale on September 11th at 10 AM.

Ryan Griffin Drops “Right Here Right Now” & Celebrates Living in the Moment

Ryan Griffin RIght Here Right Now

Rising country singer-songwriter and one of our 2018 Artists to Watch, Ryan Griffin has dropped his major-label debut single today. Titled “Right Here Right Now,” the Altadena/Warner Music Nashville artist, who inked his record deal in the third quarter of 2018, invites listeners and fans to celebrate the good times and being present to the joys of the present moment.

Sharing on posts across his social platforms, “Dibs” (Kelsea Ballerini) co-writer said, “It’s the most surreal, terrifying and exciting feeling knowing that something I have been working toward and pouring my heart into is finally out for the world to hear. I hope this message of living in the moment and choosing love over fear becomes just as much a part of your story as it is mine. #righthererightnow is out everywhere,” before concluding with a passionate invitational statement to “TURN IT UP!!”

And turning it up is exactly what we’ll do with this bop of a song. Penned by Griffin, Jason Massey, and Josh Landon, “Right Here Right Now” is truly about living in the present, in a moment filled with joy, admiration, and love overflowing. Tomorrow has enough problems of its own, and the better alternative is to enjoy the “right here right now.”

Produced by famed producer busbee (Maren Morris, Gwen Stefani, Carly Pearce), Griffin’s single leans strongly on the pop-country side, complete with a melodic hook that begs listeners to live in the “Right Here Right Now,” even if that means dancing their worries away to this song-cum-dance anthem. It is no surprise, too, that the Florida native cites country-pop superstar Keith Urban and R&B singer Brian McKnight as some of his main influences.

While Griffin has been working at his artistry for over a decade and experienced his fair share of ebbs and flows in the music industry, we believe “Right Here Right Now” is a hit that’s going to be on everyone’s playlist– country and non-country fans alike.

To keep up with Ryan Griffin, follow him on InstagramTwitter, and Facebook.

“Right Here Right Now” is now available everywhere you buy or stream music. Take a listen below and check out more new recently released music here on our ‘New Country Music’ playlist. Be sure to give the playlist a follow for your weekly new country music fix.
